My family and I called in for an afternoon tea and some apple pie. However, it was very disappointing. The service was quite slow and we didn't get a warm welcome. Also the pie portions were tiny with a small scoop of low quality ice cream which was really disappointing as the pie cost almost 5.50 euros per slice. We felt really ripped off. This place is clearly a tourist trap. Avoid.

This is a family friendly restaurant with a great menu, delicious food and exceptional staff. The location, in Keel, is beautiful and easily reached on the main road which runs the length of the island which is joined to the mainland by a bridge. Head West from Achill Sound and the Bayside Bistro is on the right about a 10 min drive from the bridge.

Staying in achill and reviewed the bistro and decided to travel,
Great spot
Fantastic food and smashing service
Dish of the day and scampi please 2 starters and a nice bottle of wine for under 80 euro
Even brought home some desert, and they did offer for us to park our camper van on the side of the restaurant and stay there if we wanted to
Great find

Had lunch here today really nice and reasonable, good portion sizes. Chips are proper chips, service was good.

Having just finished two hours surfing, the boys were ravenous. We spotted this bistro close by and thought why not? Glad we did. Out of season so very quiet, which meant we got a table and served quickly. The food was excellent. Big portions and well cooked. The fish in the fish taco was fried beautifully, nice and light, then wrapped in a nice soft tortilla. A mountain of ribs, a massive nachos and a great burger. And what looked very much like home made chips. A rarity these days. Under 60 euro for 4 of us with drinks. Very good.
