Hotel Nirvana Beach is a realy nice place for your holiday! If you aren´t looking for luxury and stupid animation programs, the Nirvana Beach hotel should be right choice for you. Very nice stuff, clean rooms and all public spaces, nice surrondings, distance from the beach and also the kitchen are the most possitives.
We loved the evenings spending on terrace under the roof of bougainvillea and drinking house wine.

Stayed here again for ten days from 16sept ,on arrival our room wasn't available and we were sent to summer dream, while because of this hotels location I would not choose to stay here but the people who ran it were very nice we meet a couple staying there and we had a lovely evening with them then midday our room was ready and our holiday was underway.this hotel is a basic hotel with lovely people running it working it in all quarters, food is basic Greek cuisine which we found ok,drinks are served up by George and again are ok .he will stay open later if you want to buy a few late ones which we did most nights.the hotel is basic but spotless clean in all areas ,there are small number of bars restaurants supermarkets with in easy walking distance .if it's a quite relaxing holiday your after with fab views from all rooms especially sea view in comfortable surroundings (especially around the tennis court area late on lol) give this hotel a go it's all ok

Room Tip: Sea views worth the extra

Myself and my friend visited here mid September for a weeks break without husbands and children. We chose the Nirvana due to its quiet surroundings and its reviews on here. The trip did not get off to a good start as on disembarking the transport on arrival at our hotel we were told to get back on the bus as it was overbooked and alternative accommodation had been arranged at a comparable hotel down the road. Now the hotel down the road, the inaptly named Summer Dreams proved to be a summer nightmare and is a whole other review.

The next morning we phoned he Nirvana and were told that our room was ready and someone was on their way to get us. We were shown to the hotel transport, a rather old and scruffy looking Ford Focus and driven back to the Nirvana. On arrival we were warmly greeted and shown to our room, 117. This contained three single beds and a separate shower room. The room was very clean and as it was already very hot we unpacked and made our way to the pool. The pool is adequate for the size of the hotel and suited us perfectly. There were plenty of sunbeds available.

I have been on various all inclusive holidays before and prior to this one didn't know that Bronze level existed. In this case it meant breakfast, coffee, lunch, coffee, evening meal. Drinks such as coke, beer etc were from 1030 am until 1015 pm. These were all non branded drinks. Branded cost extra. Bottled water too was extra. I am vegetarian and my friend hardly eats anything which too be honest was a good job. The hotel closes at the beginning of October and this soon became apparent as it seemed as if they were running down the freezer and using up the remainder of it prior to closing for the winter. Breakfast was a choice of hotdog sausages, scrambled egg, mushrooms, tomatoes and bizarrely a salad bar. There was orange juice and grapefruit at the beginning of the week but by midweek just orange. Coffee was advertised with biscuits and cake. We only ever saw dry bread/cake or plain biscuits.

Lunch was usually one or two meat dishes, pasta or rice, cold greasy chips and five times cooked onion rings. There was the salad bar of course which had lettuce first day, grated cabbage the second to fifth and lettuce the sixth as the new delivery arrived.

Dinner was more of the same. Desserts were either a choice of melon, apples, or ice cream though there was an apple cake twice and prebought Swiss roll one evening. A large proportion of people ventured up the road to Billy's Bar which did a great selection at reasonable prices. It is a real shame because if they sorted out the food it could be a wonderful quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of Rhodes town. I would be interested to know if the food is any different peak season.

The beds were made daily but could be cleaned more thoroughly in terms of sweeping. My friend wrote me a message in the steam on the shower mirror and it reappeared the next night after the room had been cleaned.

The staff are very well mannered and helpful in particular George the barman who seemed to be responsible for everything. It has to be mentioned that during our time there overbooking was a Major issue and happened every other day minimum. On one evening at least six couples got shuffled off to other hotels.

I loved Greece and would gladly come again. I would choose at least a four star though. For the extra money I paid out on drinks and food I could have upgraded the hotel to one with better facilities. If they sorted out the booking and food issues this hotel could be a real Gem of Greece.
