We had a great time sightseeing central wales and enjoying the spectacular views of the area in the cold winter sunshine. A nice log fire was very welcome on those cold evenings and the cottage was comfortable and cosy for a small family. Located in a nice quiet location which made it all the better.

Five of us (3 adults, 2 children) have just returned from a week's stay at Keeper's Cottage. We all loved it.. It is a 17th century cottage, furnished & equipped to a very high standard' & has loads of character, - but beware - our forebears were shorter than we were, so those of a tall statue will have to duck! We were given a z-bed for the 9yr old, but she took one look at the curtained-off eaves cupboard & announced that she was sleeping there, so we just used the mattress & bed-linen & never heard a peep from her thereafter! There is plenty to do in the surrounding area (quiet & peaceful countryside) Aberdovey beach is 15 mins away, & Machynlleth market town 20 mins in the other direction. The owner had left us milk & Welsh cakes etc on our arrival, so we could have a cup of tea without unpacking - lovely! Highly recommended - we will certainly return in the future.
