We came in for dinner on my last evening in Italy and had found this restaurant on TripAdvisor. As it was close to our Air B&B and had good reviews we decided to try it out. We weren't disappointed!
We were greeted warmly by a lovely lady and seated quickly. After explaining that I was vegan and did not eat milk, eggs, fish, meat etc, the lady said this was not a problem and I decided on a pizza rosso which came with courgettes, aubergine, peppers, olives and artichokes. It was delicious!! My partner enjoyed the pinza, a thicker based pizza with mozzarella, tomato and anchovies.
Desserts were a panacotta for him and a lemon sorbet for me. The lady also kindly gave us a plate of ciambellini, explaining they were made by her granddaughter, which was a lovely gesture.
All in all a lovely experience, delicious food and when we left, the family came and wished us goodbye.
We will definitely return next time we are in Ciampino, I really want to try the gnocchi!
