Excellent rooms, nice pool area and location. Restaurant and bar were very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend. Close to the beach where you will find a nice restaurant with great pizza aswell as a nearby mall.

Hi thank you for your wonderful review. It is always comforting when the reviews include a recommendation. We are pleased you mentioned our reasonable distance from Port Alfred as sadly we do not appear in a search on Tripadvisor for accommodation. We look forward to your return to our quaint village.

We so enjoyed our stay in this historic hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. The room was large and airy with a large en suite bathroom. The dinner and breakfast we were served was excellent . We would recommend this establishment.

Hi Hylton

Compliments of the season to you and your loved ones. Thank you for the wonderful five-out-of-five, our staff will be really excited to see this. We thank you for your recommendation and look forward to your return visit. Perhaps out of season where we can offer you a picnic on our game farm?

Every year we visit the Pig and Whistle and the burgers don’t disappoint! They are seriously delicious but the service was very poor so slow! We waited 20 min for a drink so a bit disappointing! Just wish that they could get the service right!

Hi Val, thank you for the honest feedback we are very proud of our great burgers made from scratch in our kitchen. Getting staffing right in coastal resorts is extremely challenging. Windy at the coast and we are inundated with guests. On a good beach day no-one. We apologise for the delay in serving you and will continue to endeavour to improve. Thanks once again for your kind comments on our burgers

From the time we arrived until when we left we felt at home. Comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Great food. Very popular with day visitors- mountain bikers, motor cyclists. Close to several restaurants and coffee shops. Off site parking in the street in front of the hotel. Safe environment for walks, riding and running the many streets.

Hi Jens, Concise welcome feedback about our Inn and Bathurst. We are very proud of our Inn and quaint historic village. We look forward to your return visit, perhaps for the Grahamstown Festival or even sooner The Bathurst Agricultural show. We are sure you will enjoy both.
