Ideal for families, we were 4 adults and a 20 month old toddler, we'd booked to include another 2 adults and toddler but they were unable to come. The weather was very mixed, but this was no barrier as there was plenty to do. The barn connected by an internal door had every conceivable toy to play with inc. soft toys, puzzles, Lego, tents plus a full size mounted blackboard on the wall, there was also an internal children's swing suspended from the ceiling. Outside, there are 4 swings, a tennis court, a shed with numerous types of children's bikes plus bikes for adults and older children, there's also an outside swimming pool. The gite itself is in a very small quiet village but approx. 1 mile to Falaise which is quite a large town. The gite is ideal for visiting the WW2 monuments and follows part of the march into Europe. The hosts are wonderful and we were met with a drink and some nibbles. The gite is quite large and spacious, all in all, an excellent place to stay being also an hour's drive from the beaches. Ideally, travel by ferry from England to Caen, as we'd driven from Calais.
