Owner description: The longest lavatunnel i all of Europe, with more than 18 km now explored. A vulcanic tunnel that now has caused scientific interest, because of the cocroach born without eyes. An absoultely amazing experience to get a guided tour into this underground vulcanic world. Highly recommended for those who want to experience something different in this beautiful island.

This was an excellent tour, full of interesting facts presented in a fun way. The company let us change our date when we accidentally booked our tour the day we arrived. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate. We would highly recommend anyone visiting Tenerife. There were children on our tour, so it is a great family activity. Company provided hardhat and headlamps. You should follow the dress code online.

This is an awesome visit for your nature lovers, science buffs and anyone who enjoys learning about our wonderful planet. Our guide was awesome, spoke good english and was very entertaining as well as knowledgeable in his subject matter. The walk to and from the opening is a short beautiful hike. The cave is open to tourists only for about 200 meters which is probably about enough for amateurs. I highly recommend.

The English guide is deadly boring.
The visit of the cave is very short and none of the views showned on the web site corresponds to what is available to the visitors.
Too many speeches about the formation of the tubes of lavas during the eruptions.
There are somewhere else on the planet lavas tubes to be seen much more wonderful : Iceland, Hawaï ...

Very nice trip to a hidden gem. Small groups with engaging guide who made sure that everybody enjoyed the trip. Sympathetic to see how the their priority is preserving the caves and not making big profit by going very commercial. Best tour this week. Book online in advance and wear good shoes.

By all accounts, it's a spectacular tour and well worth the expense and the steep climb to get there. But we never saw it. We drove there planning to combine the cave tour with a visit to Parque del Drago to see the dragon tree in nearby Icod de los Vinos. It's a long, steep drive from Icod up to the entrance to the cave, and there's a small car park when you finally find it. But we went on a Wednesday and found on arrival that the next avalable English language tour would be the following Saturday, after we'd flown home. We did persevere in queuing up to be told this in English, but we noted that nobody in the queue ahead of us actually chose to sign up for a visit when they learned the situation in their own languages, and the two families behind us both left with us, having heard the answer we got. In fairness, the lady at the desk had excellent language skills and dealt with her disappointed customers with sympathy and charm, but she didn't make any sales or bookings while we were there. And frankly, having found the price, we don't think we'll we'll take the trouble to book ahead and do the trip on our next visit to Tenerife. We've enjoyed some really amazing cave visits and tours in several other countries, but none nearly as expensive as this.
