This a fantastic grotto with tables just under an impressive slate of stone. It is a lively and friendly place with the best food we have tried in Chiavenna. We have been quite systematic and have tried all of the grottos. We had pizzoccheri which were light and very tasty. The highlight of the dinner was a selection of vegetables cooked on a special stone called pioda. They were incredibly tasty and the meat our neighbours were having was also cooked on the stone and looked very juicy. The restaurant has a small outhouse near the rock where they bake and cook the food in this original way on the hot stones. We finished with a fantastic blackberry cake very typical of the region made with a special type of flower of grano saraceno. Again it was tasty and light.
