My wife and I spent a wonderful week in July 2024 at Hotel Artiem Carlos III. The food at breakfast and dinner was really excellent and although buffet style much of the food is cooked to order by the chef. We found all the staff throughout the hotel very friendly and extremely helpful not only the waiters who provided advice on wine and food but the Receptionists who helped plan visits to local tourist attractions. We plan to return again for a further holiday!

From the first entry to this hotel, there is an atmosphere of it being right. Reception was very efficient, friendly, and informative about the hotel.
The room was extremely well appointed and spotlessly clean.
The restaurant operated a buffet system which worked very well with a range of food to suit all tastes. Shortages were quickly replenished by staff who were very attentive and friendly. Indeed it is the staff who really characterise this hotel. They really do go the extra mile and are really pleasant people.
This is a sustainable hotel, and one can really appreciate the effort that they go to yo fulfill this.
There is no doubt that we would return. It has been a great visit.

This Adult only hotel is in a very quite residential area. Most of the clientele are over 60. The views across the harbour are amazing and can be enjoyed while sitting around the pool and the restaurant .
Buses into Mahon are easy from just a 10min walk away, and from Mahon bus station you can get to lots of places on the Island via bus. Reception will provide you with bus timetables .
Staff at this hotel can’t do enough for you, they are friendly and polite.
Hotel is kept spotlessly clean .
We stayed on a B&B basis, breakfast was varied with lots of choice of all sorts and a chef cooking eggs to your liking and pancakes.
Plenty of restaurants to choose from for evening meals we enjoyed a different venue each night.
Rooms have a safe and a fridge and tea making facilities .
My one negative is the reserving of sun beds , although a label is attached to each bed asking residents not to reserve them there are those selfish people who at 7 o’clock in the morning reserve with their towels and do not use the beds till the afternoon . Whilst there we even witnessed a man and women reserving an extra bed to put their belongings on. We noted the guests who seem to be the worst culprits of this are those returning guests who seem to think it’s their right to do so.
Otherwise a really nice hotel .

Nothing about your stay at this hotel will be a disappointment. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are great, with a small fridge, hot drink making facilities, toiletries and a safe. Staff work very hard to keep it very clean for you. There is a cold water dispenser to save you buying water and to cut down on plastic waste. Breakfast is amazing, with a selection of several fresh fruit drinks, fresh tea and coffee, cereals, a variety of breads, then hot options including freshly made scrambled eggs, pancakes and omelettes and cold meats and cheeses.
The hotel has its own bar and has regular entertainment, as well as a spa and small gym. The only negative is the guests who ignore the hotels request not to reserve sun beds, and reserve the prime positions each day. A minor irritation on what was a fantastic holiday.

Great Hotel, great location. Holiday was for 10 nights in early July. The hotel is everything that other reviews state. The hotel is 15 mins by taxi from the airport. The hotel is in a quite residential area with great views over the estuary. The sea view rooms look over the pool and sea and in July have sun in the morning, from 1pm they are in the shade. Air con in room was excellent. People were reserving sunbeds, however there were always beds available. Most people were Bed and Breakfast. The walk to the harbour in Es castell was safe, a little up hill, and could be easily walked in 10 mins. Do not be put off by this. Excellent restaurants in the harbour at Es Castell - different place for every night. You will be advised to book a place for the following night. The area is used mainly by locals. There are NO English type pubs - just local good places to eat and drink - more suitable for the middle age/elderly. Local spar 1 min away - local bar 2 mins away for lunch. Walk to Mahon - this is an easy safe walk 1 x mile along the main road and then 1 x mile along the coast road around to the Port. There are many restaurants places to eat along this coast road at Mahon - It can be walked in 45 mins from Hotel, if you don't go along the coast rd it can be walked in 35 mins - do use the coast rd ! You can catch the bus to the Mahon bus station - this is also easy. Mahon market days appeared to be Tuesday and Saturday until 1pm. You can take a water taxi from the hotel to Mahon - I believe its 20 Euro one way for two people - the hotel will call the water taxi. If you want a quite holiday with good local restaurants in the evening then this is the place. We will return to this hotel
