This place is a joke. I booked and paid for a Superior room in July last year. On arrival they tried to put me in a single room. Eventually I was able to get a double room but not the Superuor I paid for. On entering the room I discovered exposed live electrical wires in the wardrobe. To cap it all the service in the restaurant is poor. Give this place a wide berth it is terrible.

Inform you taht you stayed in a superior room, number 412 exactly, and how you were not happy with anything since you had arrived and also you had used our breakfast buffet and spent the night at the Parador, you did not pay the bill.

The room was light and spacious and had a nice terrace where we spent most of our time. Location was good (near the sea and bars and restaurants). Parking free of charge.

Not the usual type of ancient monument, but a lovely experience overall with very high standards. The room was clean and peaceful and the Restaurant exceptional. I will definitely stay agin in the new year.

It is clear that this parador depends on its location by the sea. The furniture is dated and the cook should be fired immediately, because our diner was horrible.
The minigolf-area we were looking at from our room, had been neglected and the children's pool was shut down.
This is the first parador of the many that we have already visited, that we will never return to.
Thank you for sharing your opinions about your stay. We inform you that in October we will close our doors to begin improvement works in our facilities. The children's pool was collapsed due to a break that prevents it from being repaired without emptying the adult pool. We're sorry for that.

We chose the parador as we have stayed in several others and assumed it was a safe bet. WRONG!!
We initially had a superior room booked but we found it a bit dark and with a bad smell. So we decided to upgrade to the suite. It’s a nice location overlooking the sea but the decor and amenities are very very very dated. The big problem was that the air conditioning simply doesn’t work . Despite maintenance coming out 3 times and promising it would take 30 mins to work - it never did.
After 2 restless nights we moved back to a superior room and decided to put up with the musty smell .
Overall very disappointing, Benicarlo was bland and as noted in other reviews the beach is extremely busy and unpleasant
