Monique and her staff made a warm welcome. Pleasant atmosphere, beautiful furniture everywhere. Lounge, library and more pleasant sittings besides those in the rooms. Close to the beach. Monique knows where to go! Airport shuttle available. Put that on the website!

Visited Capetown with my parents in September 2014 and stayd in this beautiful B&B run by Monique and her friendly staff. It is a great location just outside of Capetown & in a walking distance (5 min) from the white sandy beaches and with the most amazing view on the Table Mountain and Robben Island in the distance. We booked the two garden rooms which were very comfortable, clean and had good wifi connection. The decoration is stylish, every room has its own colours and the breakfast room is nicely located next to the pool and terras. Definitely try the amazing egg dishes with breakfast, what a perfect way to start your day. The owner Monique has helped us out defining a good itinerary for our stay and even pre-booked the boat tickets to Robben Island for us which is a must. Capetown has a lot to offer, varying from the Wineries to a sceneric route along the shore to Cape Point. The Birkenhead Manor B&B was conveniently located between the city, wineries and close to some good restaurants.

Registered quite late for a big conference at the downtown convention center. With one or two other events going on, the hotels I usually stay at were fully booked. Friends suggested I stay at Birkenhead. What an excellent recommendation. The guest house has a very nice feel, great staff, and nice and quiet surroundings. Really enjoyed exploring another side of Cape Town and hope to return again next year.

For my business trip I have stayed in the Birkenhead Manor Guesthouse. I really enjoyed my stay. Due to the Wi-Fi everywhere in the hotel and even in the garden and breakfast area, I could stay connected and do all my work. The hotel is situated in a quiet area, but very close to the beach, so I could enjoy my morning runs. For sure I will return, when I have business in Cape Town.

Room Tip: The Superior rooms on the first floor have a view on Table Mountain

Warm and gentle hospitality in a fairytale-like, nostalgic, relaxed, functional ambient.
A very caring host who is very interested and committed in offering a great service and support for any help you may need.
Good equipped spacious rooms, good breakfast, excellent location: quiet & safe neighborhood, very close -3 min. walk- to the Blouberg Strand (ideal for runners, kite-surfers, but also just to have a walk, enjoy the great view -Table Mountain- and magnificient sunsets...) with its good restaurants & bars.
Birkenhead Manor is very good choice not only for holiday/leisure but also to make your business trip feel a little special like staying at home or in vacation:....wake up in a nostalgic ambient, start your day with a run at the beach, have good breakfast and then....
Our conclusion: excellent stay in a particularly nice location!
