Probably one of the best pubs or 'watering holes' in the Cape Peninsula. Service is excellent, people are friendly, place is usually packed, pizzas are great, live bands over weekends.

Beautiful sunsets with surfers surfing right in front of you. Nice place to start your walk down the beach...

Your tour to Cape Town is not complete if you haven't been at the Blue Peter!

Before I start, I am slightly biased towards the Blue Peter, I got married there and have had many good memories. It is always a treat to join them for breakfast which is a buffet style offering overlooking Blouberg Bay and offers an amazing unrivaled view of Table Mountain. The staff are friendly, the food is good value and the atmosphere is awe inspiring.

Great location right on the gorgeous Blouberg Beachfront - very popular spot and good service but a little underwhelmed by the food - fast food doesn't need to be bad food and unfortunately this is certainly not a "great spot to eat" - prawns covered in garlic, steak drenched in a dubious pepper sauce which was not ordered and burger bun wet - eeauw not great - pizzas and snack baskets flying out the kitchen so perhaps that's the way to go - will I come back ? For a drink definitely but I think I will take a wander up the beach and find another spot to eat

I use to love the Blue Peter! When I was younger I use to hang out there regularly. They use to make the best pizzas and amazing seafood. I visited their "gourmet restaurant the other day and ordered two seafood platters. I have to confess the manager did warn me that their seafood was frozen but I didn't think it could be as bad as it was. the prawns was completely old and inedible. (See picture)

Blue Peter is quite famous and with reasons, the view on Table Moutain is amazing and the staff very friendly. If you get hungry, go for it, the food is jsut great, had one time the pasta with smoked salmon and the duck the next time, both were delicious and would definitely go again.
