First room not up to standard but after changing rooms very good,food and waiters very friendly and helpful. Generally it was a very a good experience and will stay there in future. Compliments to the staff, including receptionMore

We stayed at Floreat for a Mountain Biking weekend, and did not have high expectations of the hotel. However even we were disappointed. The reception area and breakfast room were so outdated and in desperate need of an upgrade. The room was simple with a large window that faced the river and mountain (only positive). But the bed was old, fittings and fixtures from the 90's with a brown bed cover and yellowing well worn sheets. The brown towels were ropey and we were glad to have brought out own towels. The bathroom was ok, very plastiky and old with an in-bath shower. The shower curtain had seen better days.
However, the place was in a great location, right by the start of the Mountain Biking trails and thus served the exact purpose we required.
The staff were friendly and the breakfast was nice, the one morning there were delicious pancakes which was great!
We thank you for the review and hope to better our facilities for our guests. Floreat will most definitely make sure that all old bedding and towels will be replaced. We are however very glad to hear that our staff impressed you and that you enjoyed our pancakes :-)
Nice chalets in a bigger resorts (clean and simple). Reception and all service is friendly, The lodge is located approx. 3km from Sabie center. All in all a nice 3* accomodation, very much recommended.

We stayed with the family for two nights. After seeing our room, we asked to be moved immediately. The room was between two store rooms and the lpg gas tanks. It looked a lot like a backpackers. At R1400 a night, it was way overpriced for what they gave us.
Although we moved to another smaller room, which was cleaner. It was a mostly unpleasant stay because of the state of the rooms. The towels were very old, the sheets smelled like they had not been changed in a while.
The staff were enthusiastic and were eager to assist where they could. The location was central. The hotel needs to be renovated, linen and towels replaced. The shower curtains were old and filled with grime. Its a pity that the place has been neglected. I would not recommend to anyone in its current state.

My wife and friend decided to try this lodge for a massage in their spa. The facility is quite basic with only one masseur so if there are a couple of you, one has to wait for the other to complete.The masseur is not well trained and can only do basic massages but of course this is reflected in the price which is less than half one would pay in a top establishment. I as a husband of one of the ladies had to spend time waiting in the reception area. It was notable that there were no other customers in the hotel at the time although the surrounds were clean and tended as was the pool. There is a koi pond in the garden. Upon finishing their massage we retired to the bar area for a drink and it being extremely hot we asked for the overhead fans to be switched on, only to be told they hadn't worked for years! Nevertheless the service was polite enough and the light snack served was acceptable. One gets the impression that the hotel's glory days are long past- this supported by the fact hat there were no other customers on a hot Sunday afternoon. As we didn't stay here I can't comment on the accommodation.
Booked in for 1 night, room bathroom no main light changed after 4 hours, bathroom no curtains louvered frost windows replaced with clear glass so guests staying on 1 st floor can look into your bathroom no privacy, no remotes for TV and Aircon 40 degrees outside, ask for room service drinks were told fetch yourself at Ladiesbar, ask for ice were told buy at Ladiesbar for R10-00 no free ice. The towels had holes in it. Duty Manager phoned Owner (Duty Manager not empowered to make decisions on the spot, puppet? ) re our complaint and he said just change room after we were there for 3 hours unpacked already. Duty Manager realized the discomfort experienced and Owners reply and offered us breakfast on the house the following morning, thank you Duty Manager Small things but critical will never stay there again, this is a very poor 3 star hotel, buildings is fine but the soft furnishes and service is totally not acceptable should be a good 1 star hotel, not even worthy of a good 2 star rating, I am a qualified Hotel Manager by trade as reference, so I should know. I took pictures but destroyed them unfortunately.
