Sabie is an attractive place to stay & the Woodsman is in a good location. Rooms are in an annexe next door to the pub up some stairs. We did not eat there so cannot comment on the food but the breakfast was fine

We spent two nights in this quaint and well-known Sabie hotel. It is central to the Panorama route and is much-loved by the biker community and locals. We were a party of five and the amenities in the two rooms were not equal. One had an air-conditioner (which is vital in the Lowveld summer heat) and the other did not - the ceiling fan was totally inadequate. One had a shower and bath - the other had a badly enamelled bath central to the bedroom with no possibility of privacy, despite the presence of a wooden screen. The toilet ceiling was also mouldy and needed painting. Heather Berry and her team of staff were wonderful but the hotel needs some attention to detail.

Room Tip: Away from main road. Just not Room 105 or 108 as baths need re-enamelling.

Perfectly situated in the center of town, within walking distance of banks, shops and restaurants. The rooms maintained daily and are clean and neat. My room had a comfortable bed and a good shower. Flat screen tv and dstv decoder.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the side. The ones facing the road may be a bit noisy for light sleepers, as trucks sometimes go past.

The rooms are nice and spacious with enough blankets for the cold. Most rooms only have a bath. We found the rooms to not have adequate lightning especially at the bathing area and no lights at mirrors which made it difficult to use at night. The rooms were quite noisy but clean, spacious and good value for money.

It was the first time we booked at the Woodsman. The rooms is spacious with all necessary amenities. The service and food in the restaurant was excellent and we would definitely recommend this establishment to prospective guests as it provides good value for money.
