We stayed in this hotel a number of years ago and had a great experience then. We returned this year with our children - it’s been about 18 years since we stayed and we wanted to show them how great the hotel is and it didn’t disappoint,
The hotel has been massively upgraded since our last visit. We had 2 rooms, one family and one triple. The family room was massive and fit 4 of us very comfortably. There is a seperate room with 2 single beds. The veranda was huge and had a table with 4 chairs. The triple room had the most amazing sea view I’ve ever seen - looking right over the beach. The triple room was a lot smaller and a bit of a squash at times as it basically fits the 3 beds in but it was fine. Both rooms had a fridge, kettle and safe. Fridges are small and fit in a few small bottles of water or cans of juice (or beer). The maid work really hard to do all the rooms - we didn’t get our room done every day as there was no need.
When we arrived we were greeted at the bus/front door by the friendliest gentleman and he stayed that way for the full week - spoke to us every day and always asked if we were ok and high 5d the kids every time we seen him, he saw us struggle to blow up inflatable’s and brought out a pump for us to use.
Reception staff were all really friendly - my only disappointment was that our rooms weren’t ready when we arrived and as we had such an early flight we hadn’t slept all night and all the kids were so tired - I know that kind of thing can’t be helped though but we had to hang around for a couple of hours with some very tired children. They just got changed in the toilet and we went to the front terrace bar to sit and relax.
The hotel is right on the beach so there no need to trapse anywhere for a beach day.
Food was good - something for everyone - I have fussy children and they all found something at every meal - the restaurant staff were all very efficient at their jobs.
There were no sun-bed wars - plenty sun-beds for us all every day. Only one day someone removed our towels as we had been gone a while which is understandable but we got held up unexpectedly. The sun is out at the pool for the entire day so there are no bits that don’t get any sun. They start to pack up the pool area for around 6pm so that they can get ready for the evening entertainment.
Entertainment staff are all so hard working they try to get everyone involved. I don’t usually put my kids into kids clubs but they actively were desperate to go most days and even at night - they had a soft spot for Maria - well done Maria! The bar staff all work really hard and the pool/bar area is always spotless.
There’s a small shop right next to the hotel and sells basically everything you will ever need, it’s slightly overpriced but probably because it’s so convenient and you don’t need to walk for more than 30 seconds lol. Further along the road there’s a supermarket and a number of places to eat/bars and souvenir shops - there’s also a small arcade for kids. If you venture a bit further along the street there’s a bigger supermarket that sells everything and there’s a launderette which we found to be a lifesaver as the kids kept spilling their drinks/food over themselves. We did a massive wash/dry for €12 and it took less than an hour to do.
Bus stop for Salou/Portaventura/Cambrils, Tarragona/Barcelona is right outside the hotel.
Overall we had a fantastic family holiday and our definitely return - it suited us to be in a quieter area for our holiday. If you want busy then you are better in Salou opposed to La Pineda but it was perfect for us!

Good fresh food, plenty of choice, fussy kids will be happy with pizza/burger options and plenty of deserts. Food options change daily

Right near the beach and plenty of fish to see, full golden sand (no pebbles) and beach bar available for drinks and snacks

Nightly entertainment available or short walk to Spanish bars

Recommend avoiding the local supermarket (next door to hotel) for absolutely everything, wine prices are TWICE that of proper supermarkets nearly a mile walk away, which has much more choice 10x

Plenty of restaurants available
