This was my fourth time at the Melia. I used to go there for the amazing service, the beautiful beach, the great pools and the good food.
The service is still stellar and the beach is nicer than ever, but sadly the pools were very dirty the week I was there (to the point where I got rashes coming out of the pool) and the food was just horrible. No selection whatsoever, mostly canned fruits were available. I have never ever complained about the food in Cuba, but this time around was particularly terrible.
Only 3 restaurants were opened, they were redone with new themes, and it's a fail across the board. Most likely won't be coming back there anytime soon unfortunately.More
