This auberge is all about the hospitality. And the food. And the view and location. We spent 3 nights in the chalet. It would be comfortable for a family, even 5 or more.
Pauline is a super friendly and attentive host, and helped us with local arrangements. And high marks to the chef for delicious salmon dinners, and tasty carrot cake dessert - all while seated at a big window with the million dollar view of the fjord. We pinched ourselves.
Location is an easy 12 minutes into town of La Baie, passing scenic viewpoints of the bay. Also is convenient to drive to Parc Saguenay, L'Anse-Saint-Jean, and Chicoutimi.
Absolutely recommended and would stay again. If you go, you will be warmly welcomed.

This chalet is well located giving access (by car) to the southern shores of the fjord from La Baie to St Simeon. Pauline the host is charming and welcoming and does her best to accommodate to your needs including booking trips and excursions. Her English is very good.
The views over the water from both the window and the balcony are stunning.
The accommodation is equipped with all that you need for a comfortable stay and you can keep in touch with the world as it has TV and wifi. We were a couple so there was plenty of space however although advertised to sleep six this would be quite a squeeze including two sleeping on the landing. The toilet and bathroom are downstairs which is less than convenient in the night.
Overall the Chalet does what it says and provides a chance at reasonable expense to stay in this lovely area.
