I have never found a more convenient place to stay. The ferry is directly opposite and the buses to one side. If you buy a three zone metro ticket for a week £20:90 the 333 bus is free as is the ferry to South Shields. You can with this ticket use all three modes of transport as many times as you like. Highly recommended is the South Shields museum cafe (they make their own cakes) The flat is ideal if you have a dog. There is a beach just past the fish quay where a dog can play. It is small when the tide is in but if you can go to Whitley Bay the beach must be a mile long, plenty of space for a dog to run.The building still looks like a pub and we had a couple knock on the door to see if we were open and if they could get a drink. It was comfortable and the tv is a large modern flat screen with Freeview. Parking is in a secure area with a automatic barrier. However you can feel hemmed in when cars are parked alongside and behind you.

Excellent, spacious, well equipped accommodation which has been tastefully decorated to
a high spec. It is a suberb base for exploring Newcastle, Tynemouth & Northumbria etc.

“Family Holiday with dogs”

The apartment was comfortable, clean and well equipped. Inside is modern with good natural light. Outside, the appearance is of a Pub built in the early 1900s. Its setting is unique, with views of river traffic, interesting old buildings and looking out to sea through the mouth of the Tyne.
We found the enclosed outdoor yard useful for our two Cocker Spaniels, also the large Utility room.
Having 2 bathrooms both with showers was also very welcome.

Liked best: 2 bathrooms, outside space/utility room for dogs
Liked least: Because there are no curtains, but rather blinds, sound tends to bounce off the walls of the downstairs room a bit and sound a bit louder than it ordinarily would be.

“Exceptional property”
Reviewed 10 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Had a great stay at this property . It was a short walk from the fish quay and tynemouth but had amazing views. access opposite to the ferry and a stone throw from shops and convenience stores in north shields. Immaculately kept and comfortable to stay in with so much room. we will definitely be using this property again and I cannot recommend it enough . Thank you
