Lovely situation, very nice staff and some wild animals to be seen close up. The lunch was lovely and the service good. Looks like a nice hotel as well, but we did not stay overnight only for lunch. .......

We travelled here to visit the national park & see Sossusvlei & we weren't disappointed. Sossusvlei Lodge is a 1 minute drive from the gate of the national park. The accommodation at Sossusvlei Lodge is well laid out & if you have one of the safari tents in the front row of accommodation you get a great view (we had a great location as we stayed for 3 nights). There were oryx roaming around the property & great bird life because of the waterhole (including owls).

Food-wise, the buffet was really nice , but make sure you get there early as some of the tour groups that travel through get there early & raze through everything. The evening meal was lovely in that there was a bbq stand where you could choose the meat you wanted (Impala, ostrich, beef, eland, kudu etc et ) & have it cooked to your liking. It was delicious! We also found the staff friendly & helpful. I would stay here again & would recommend

I cannot comment on the hotel itself because we stayed at their Desert Camp and only came for supper. They have changed the concept from a few years ago when only guests from their own establishments could dine there and it was more exclusive and special. Now it is open to everyone and the food reflects this. There is a huge amount of tourists( mainly German with a big number of French too) which need to be fed. The buffet was huge but the dishes were bland and predictable. The game meats were tough and sinewy , the lamb chops were still raw and we will never go back. To top it all off, I picked up a stomach bug which completely ruined my balloon ride the next morning. If possible, rather order the Braai Basket and make your own dinner. At R 275 per person for the buffet, it is simply not worth it and feels like a tourist rip-off.

Had a great time when we stayed here for 2 nights.
Incredible location and the staff are really helpful.
Beautiful tented rooms overlooking the vast landscape with animals regularly walking past.
The view from the pool and restaurant is amazing - we saw lots of animals and had a great time.
Food is fantasitc - they cook all the meat and seafood to order on a hot plate for dinner and you overlook the watering hole.
Definitely reccommend.

We stayed here for a couple of nights on our Namibia tour. This is a good lodge. The rooms are semi-tented lodges, well equipped including air conditioning (easiest to take a look at the gallery on their website to get a feel for the layout). It is quite cosy to lay in your bed and hear the wind blowing through the canvas. In the morning you can open up the canvas or sit on your veranda, look out onto the semi desert and watch the animals roaming around. Dinner was excellent. Seated outside, it is a buffet style arrangement where you can pick the meats that you want and they are cooked to order in front of you. And every evening you get a wonderful sunset...
