“Great location! Nice cottage but a bit of a letdown..”
Reviewed 9 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

I can only give this cottage 3/5 stars as although the cottage was lovely and in a fab location it was let down by the cheap furnishings (a very uncomfortable sofa, double duvets on single beds, soft mattresses etc.), lack of saucepans and the tiny sink in the bathroom. The most annoying thing was that the owner was "too busy" to send me the address of the cottage until 2 days before our trip which left us concerned that we may have been ripped off and unable to plan properly.

“Great Place, Excellent Facilities”

We had a great long weekend here. The Forest of Dean is a stunning area with far less tourists than the Cotswolds. The cottage had everything you need , Wi-Fi, Sky, Log fire, views from the master bedroom, a huge garden and walking/ stumbling distance to excellent local pubs with proper Sunday Roasts. We loved trampling through the forest and the scenery and are already planning our next visit in the new year. Recommended.

“Perfect hideaway, beautifully furnished, cosy & comfortable”
Reviewed 5 November 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We stayed for 2 nights at end of September. Close enough to local shops and attractions. We managed to do a lot in 3 days.

House is cosy but very comfortable, wood burner was perfect for an autumn night.

Beds were heaven, all linen & towels clean and crisp! The owners were even kind enough to wrap & special delivery my lost sunglasses...

Only things that were to notice as missing, were freezer & microwave. But we know for next time and will accomodate accordingly.

Thanks again for a wonderful stay and we will definately see you again before Winter is over.

“What a lovely cottage!”
Reviewed 26 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Fab weekend, great location, the cottage is wonderful.
All the amenities, love the extra's such as the chiminea and wood burner, both added a little something to the weekend!
Plenty to do in the immediate area, but would recommend having a car.
Nikita is lovely, very helpful with all my questions and replied very promptly.
Will definitely be staying again!

Liked best: The wood burner in the living room, lovely!
Liked least: The narrow access lane to the cottage, not suitable for larger cars!
