We walk our dogs in the Forest daily so it is good to try different places. For a Change we visited the lake in the spring. A beautiful setting and walk to get up to and around the lake - and the dogs enjoyed it too.

A beautiful spot in the heart of the Forest of Dean. Starting point for walks of varying lengths and difficulty. Great place for a picnic. Picnic tables and benches around the lake. Ducks and geese for feeding. Plenty of parking, although there is a charge for this.

The location of this lakeside park is easy to reach, there is an easy access for wheelchairs and suitable for all family. Just beside the GoApe attraction and welcomes BBQ lovers.
Strongly recommended to spend the day with family and friends there when the sun is out.

Car park is pay and display, £4 to 5 for the whole day.

There is pop up coffee / soft drinks shop next to the entrance.

The park is clean and has a lot to offer.

The Lake was awesome for wildfowl...great place for the nature lovers. The paths are beautiful and shaded so on hot warm days, it is a peaceful walk. Boats/canoes can glide around in safety. The wildflowers are beautiful too. And the whole atmosphere is relaxed...what more can a person ask for?
