“Perfect place to chill”
Reviewed 23 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

This is a fabulous property.

It's quiet with no neighbours to disturb (other than cows in the adjacent field). Very well equipped. The pool is large and well maintained. The rooms are all spacious and airy. Beds are very comfortable, the showers, bath and toilets are new and work well. Views are sensational; evenings are beautiful and the mists in the mornings are lovely too.

Internet access is good. Satellite TV is there if you really feel you need to keep up with British TV.

Entraygues is a lovely small town. There are several beautiful towns and villages within about 45 minutes drive. Conques is a must.

The local wine isn't too clever though. You'll probably be disappointed with the Entraygues wines; the whites are pretty acidic and poor. The Estaing wines are just a bit better with the Marcillac ones being acceptable to good.

Lots of buzzards and other birds to see - there are even a decent set of binoculars there! The walk back from town is a challenge.

All I can say is that we will return. That is a first for us, even though all our France holidays have been great.

Thank you!

“Comfortable house in beautiful location”
Reviewed 3 September 2014 for a stay in July 2014

La Belle Vue is a very comfortable and well equiped house in a spectacular location overlooking the Lot and Truyere valley. Very much on the outskirts of Entraygues it has a beautiful country outlook. We enjoyed long walks along country road and forest tracks picking blackberries. The producers market was a highlight, sharing the aligot and wine with the whole town eating on trestle tables in the village square. The new swimming pool is a plus too.

“Glorious views down to valley”

Perched high above the valley, this comfortable house is a great base for a holiday but you should have a car. The views south over the river Lot and the sunsets were lovely. At about 500 vertical feet above the pretty town, it took us 10 minutes walking briskly to reach town once we had found the grassy shortcuts. After a large evening meal it was an enjoyable but energetic 20 mins fast walk back up to the house. We cycled to town also, getting lots of exercise on the way back up. The walk above the house through the woods was very pleasant, better signposted if you go clockwise.
Highlights of our trip were the evening entertainments in town on Mon and Wed, cycling on the mercifully flat north bank of the Lot towards Conque, a daytrip to Conque, winetasting in the vineyards and tennis on the beautiful court outside St Hippolyte, not pre-bookable.
The house was peaceful, comfortable and well stocked with kitchen items. The only oven we found was the microwave oven. The new swimming pool was a bonus.
