Food was great, personnel were super friendly. Just perfect. Right next to Hippocrates his tree. Good ambiance.

Recently visited whilst exploring Kos town and we got caught in a huge thunder storm with torrential. We ran into restaurant and grabbed a seat under cover, we were told they didn’t start serving food until 7pm but we could have a drink (it was 5:30) so we had a lovely bottle of wine and were given some fresh fruit on a platter to nibble on which was lovely. Ordered food a little later and it was delicious. Staff were very helpful and friendly, especially the Swedish lady!

Gosh, had I read a couple of the recent reviews, don’t think I would have gone. As it transpired, we had no particular expectations but ended up thoroughly enjoying our meal,a bottle of half decent/not too expensive wine and the live jazz entertainment. Great setting , the restaurant looks classy and I would recommend.

My daughter and her husband went as a couple and had a good meal. She is a real 'foodie', and a top chef, so if she says it's good then it carries weight. So we, as a family, decided that we'd all eat there for our last night in Cos. Unfortunately, as a somewhat embarrassed daughter confessed, it was a different standard altogether. On the plus side it is a lovely setting, a short walk away from the bustle and by the Hippocrates Tree. The restaurant is presented as a 'top-end' restaurant. The lady maître-de welcomed us warmly and explained the dishes. The 'fish of the day' was a sea bream, but at 55 Euros/kg that was simply too outrageous, even for a fish-lover's goodbye meal! The menu is expensive - prices for which one expects a special meal, and sadly it failed to deliver. The wine list was ridiculously expensive - why do restaurants assume their clientele are stupid and don't know what a bottle of local wine costs? And if the excuse is that these are 'special' wines, then it is unfair to have no economic wines as well. My starter - mussels - was fine if a touch undercooked. the other starters looked rather small. For the main course the salmon was fine but nothing special and certainly not worth the price, the sea bass ditto. A few multicoloured vegetables does not compensate. Three of us ordered the '24 hours cooked lamb' expecting the delicious long-cooked melt-in-the-mouth lamb for which Greece is famous. What we got had most certainly not been cooked for 24 hours. It was some random cuts of rather tasteless lamb which needed chewing. And the few multicoloured vegetables. Perhaps it depends upon exactly what one chooses and which chef is on that night.
In my humble opinion they need to decide what they are: good home-cooked Greek dishes and wines at a reasonable price, or a top-notch restaurant serving really superb and unusual food. If you serve small portions at high prices people get to know!
