We spent two nights at Wilson's retreat whilst on Gili T and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a slightly quieter spot on this busy island. The hotel is on the north of the island (the opposite end to the party strip) and therefore doesn't have any of the noise or the traffic that you get in the south. It's about a 10 minute ride on a horse and cart or cycling from the main port.
The rooms are comfortable and clean (although there was a gekko poo on our bed one day - this isn't the hotel's fault though and new sheets were provided immediately). The restaurant is great and the food was deliciously. The staff don't speak brilliant English and the service is sometimes a little slow but other than that we can't complain. Would definitely stay again.

Located on the northern west part of the island, the Wilson's retreat is a bit remote from the action and noise of the center, which is a good point.
Rooms are clean, nicely decorated, minimal though, with typical open air bathroom.

Staff is nice even though not always efficient, especially when it comes to food ... This is really the poor point of this pension : breakfast is just terrible, lunch and/or diner are ok but you need to wait between 1h15mn to 2hoirsvto get your plate delivered.
Food comes in a totally disorganized way, and far too late.
Huge room for improvement there.

Stayed for 3 nights at Wilson's with family (2 adults, three children) in 2 cottages/bedrooms. Bedrooms amd bathrooms are spacious and decorated nicely. Swimming pool is small and water not really clear. Breakfast is a la carte and basic. We got bored by the limited choice after two mornings. Restaurant Staff is friendly but slow and somewhat chaotic (and their English is poor).

Perfect place to spend a few days (or longer) on Gili T. and pamper yourself. Staff is very friendly, food is excellent and creative, prices are not excessive and the setting is stunning. We were so satisfied that we didn't want to leave. A real gem!

Our trip to Wilson's was really great. From the moment we arrived, we were kindly greeted, given a welcome drink and our young son a cute teddy bear! How sweet. The food was also awesome and the eggs benedict in the morning was just delicious. We had a wee problem with our air conditioner on our last night, so they gave us a villa to stay in for our final night (we were originally staying in the Muri suites). It's the little touches that make Wilson's great - turning the porch light on for you if you're out, lighting a bug coil for your porch, handmade natural soap and bug repellent, glass bottles for drinking water, etc. Just very lovely. Many thanks to all he staff, especially Ms. Erma and Mr. Bebe. (Sorry if I didn't get your names quite right). :)
