Never been anywhere like it & I don’t think we will find another place like this. It’s a must, it has it all. Just come & see for yourself.

“Lovely house right by the beach”

Lovely big house, very well equipped to a high standard. It's situated a 30 second walk to the beach which was perfect for the children, plus there are a few great fish restaurants / supermarkets nice bars within a 5 minute walk. It's on a quiet road, the only noise in the evening is the sound of the sea! Wonderful.

Totally recommend staying here, just make sure you get your route sorted from the airport before you leave as the roads aren't great..., plus tonnes of Mosquitos at the airport, stay covered up when you land.

“Spectacular house on a spectacular beach on a very beautiful location on the island”

Cosmos beach house was a wonderful vacation refuge for my extended family to spend the week. If you want to lie low, you have everything you need within a 10 min walk for tavernas and markets. The beach is just across the road and is both sandy and lined with smooth pebbles. The water was so placid the first few days, and even when winds kicked in a bit, the waves were still gentle. But if you want to explore the island, it is in a well situated location for travel. With a group of 6, we ended up renting a car to explore Paleokatritsas and the intriguing villages along the way as well as further up the coast to Kassiopi. On our way to the airport, we drove along the north east coast line back to Corfu town to take in more of the island's beauty and surroundings. From the areas we'd seen, Agios Georgios seemed significantly less built up than other more resort areas. We were happy to be in a quieter place. We spend nearly every evening dining in Afionas, overlooking the cove on one side from Cafe Timoni or Dionysus. or the other side via Panorama. I recommend climbing the trails that go behind the cafes down to the beach or from the beach up.The house itself was a wonderful accommodation with bright airy rooms and stunning views, suitable for relaxing, working, reading. It was more or less as pictured on the website. As another reviewer mentioned, the photo on the website showing a view from the kitchen window was altered to show a view which seemed unnecessary to my mind, as the view you had was of a lovely fig tree.

“High Quality Villa, Quiet and Beautiful in April”
Reviewed 22 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Cosmos Beach House is a high quality villa set in its own grounds in a prime location at the north end of the Agios Geogios Beach. The south facing verandas have spectacular views of the bay. We stayed in April before the tourist season so it was very peaceful and quiet. Almost everything was closed, but within 10 minutes drive, we found a good supermarket and a couple of open tavernas including The Night Owl. The sun sets early behind the hill, but wonderful sunsets can be enjoyed from Afionas and the (more commercialised) resorts further up the west coast. Roads can be steep with pot holes but a basic hire car was adequate. Corfu is lush and beautiful at this time, and the climate and wild flowers more like June in England. The wisteria tree on the villa was in bloom and we were amazed by fireflies in the evening. The evenings were cooler so we appreciated the large open log fire in the villa. Footpaths are generally not signposted, but do explore the steep cliff path down to secluded Afionas Beach on the west side. On the south-east side, it is possible (with GPS) to walk up through Prinilas and return on the Corfu Trail through shady olive groves under the mountain. We were extremely well looked after by our "host" Nick, a friendly local expat Brit who and even came out at midnight when we had a power cut. Be aware that in Corfu you should not flush toilet paper down any WC. (PS. View from kitchen window in trip advisor photos is fake.)
