Staff was very friendly. Rooms and pool a little outdated, but clean. We stayed there during off-season and the pool was just for us :) Although the hotel hosted a wedding or some kind of party with a band, you could not hear anything in your room and could still sleep like a baby. Very good location on the seaside and near the Kuressaare castle. All little restaurants are also in walking distance. Good value fur money.

We visited Kuressaare for sports. Staying by the seaside hotel was a bonus. We had a suite with sauna to stay in. All tho the tv was old, rooms decor looked like it needed a little bit freshening, all together it was clean and all thing were working. All so visited the little spa area - small swimming pool, steam sauna, regular sauna and a cold bubble bath, not recommended with children, Family's better use the sister-hotel's spa next door with more attractions, also included in this hotels room price. Breakfast covered everyone's basic needs. Mostly enjoyed the polite staff and great outdoors.

The most dirty hotel room that I have ever seen! Filth under the bed, hairs in bathroom, dirty sink, white stains on green blankets, dust everywhere. Pool looked dirty as well and water was heavily chlorinated. Bulbs was not working at the bedside. Shoe cleaning kit looked 10 years old and it made my boots dirtier that they were before. Good things that I can say about this hotel is it's location(beautiful place near to the sea and castle), food(breakfast was delicious) and good wi-fi.

Room Tip: I do not recommend this hotel but if you decide to stay there, take room with sea view.

Meri Spa Hotel is excellent place to stay with small children because of the convenience of using both its own swimming pool and sauna and the ones (and the long water-slide, the only one in Kuressaare) of the adjoining Rüütli Spa. Also the location close to city center and the medieval castle and on the seashore is excellent. Meri has good value for money, however for those who are looking for upscale accommodation there are better options in Kuressaare. In Meri the rooms and quest areas are roomy and clean but relatively modest in decor and a little worn.
