Definitely recommend this apartment. It has interesting, slightly quirky furnishings. No view of the lake but right in the centre of Cannero. You have exclusive use of a lovely sitting room with kitchen and dining area plus a small balcony. We really enjoyed our stay.
An apartment with character, located in Cannero village centre, the second floor of a converted convent overlooking a large garden space. Light and airy, chunky high beamed ceilings, and character furnishings and fittings; french doors overlooked the garden space. Modern fitted kitchen, contemporary large bathroom, with good sized shower recess. Washing machine is located in a small room separate from the apartment, and accessed along the outside verandah. The. Couch for second couple was comfortable. Good quality pots and pans and utensils. A small Carrefour supermarket located close by with bread, deli items etc., no separate bakery in Cannero. On Fridays, early am a fruit and vegetable market is set up in the carpark opposite Carrefour, vendors selling salamis, cheeses, fruit and vegetables, biscuits, handbags and leather goods.
In general this residential neighbourhood is quiet however the extremely loud barking of a large dog close by spoiled the quiet ambience and relaxation. Barked for 3/4 hour one morning at 6.00am and intermittently on most days. We were given only one set of keys for two couples, this made coming and going separately awkward at times..
