“Comfortable, clean house in a beautiful location”
Reviewed 15 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

A nice house in Strangford, a short walk from the centre of the village but quiet at night. It's an older, terraced place so looks quite charming and with a large garden and car parking area behind a gate.
The downstairs has a large conservatory and open plan kitchen so feels quite spacious. The upstairs second bedroom has three beds but could get cramped if shared by 3 adults: fine for younger children. The furnishings are totally OK: no particularly homely or cosy touches but very clean and functional. The countryside and coast around are beautiful so good for outdoors activities.

“Peaceful cosy idyll in fantastic location”
Reviewed 7 May 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Reluctant to tell everyone how good it is, this was our second visit last time was back in 2007. Love the modernisation to the house the sun room is brilliant also helped by the Easter weather being really warm. Great location never to far from anything ie exploris sea world unfortunately it was shut this time due to refurb, castle ward, Newcastle and downpatrick. Lots of historical castles and places to see and things to do with kids. Lots of great places to eat and drink ie the cuan for food and the local chippy also the hole in the wall pub. We had five in our party and fitted comfortably. Will be going back because we have family in the area so ideal location for us. Paul welcomed us with open arms once again.

“A wonderful house in the most perfect location”
Reviewed 3 October 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Number 42 is a lovely house situated in the centre of Strangford village. We liked the secluded garden, allowing plenty of space for the children to play and plenty of space for us to relax. In addition the children enjoyed playing football in the nearby football pitches and spending time in the playground. We went kayaking and did the sea safari boat trip, we spent a lot of time on the nearby beaches and enjoyed various walks in the area. We also ate in some of the nice restaurants in Strangford and the area around, the food was very good and the staff, very friendly. We found the house very comfortable, home from home, and after a full day of activities, we loved to relax in the beautiful sun room, looking out onto the garden.
