We have stayed at this campsites several times now and after a break of 2 years felt a review was due. The campsite as others have said is kept immaculately clean and tidy, toilet blocks etc are all excellent. The road to the campsite again as others have said is 2km of unmade rough stony dusty ground that doesn't get any better as time passes. Monday to Friday lunchtime it is quiet and utterly peaceful mainly occupied by French, Dutch, Swiss, German and English campers (this is out of high season).
However ( and you knew one was coming)! Friday lunchtime onwards many Spanish Families arrive with many children. The noise level goes up and peaceful campsite is turned into Spanish Mayhem. This in itself is not a problem and we have no problem with children or the Spanish. However, there are few campsite rules and the noise can go on until 1 or 2 in the morning with children playing and parents oblivious to any respect for others. This goes on until Sunday early evening when once again the campsite returns to peace and civility. Also I would advise anyone thinking of going to Ribamar not to arrive on Friday , Saturday or Sunday as getting into the campsite can be very tight. This is also a problem further down the road where locals visiting the beach at the end of the track can virtually block access for any larger vehicles. This also applies to the immediate campsite road on a Sunday in particular when day visitors arrive and block the entrance to the campsite.
So here is the dilemma, a great campsite 4 days of the week but not good at weekends. The campsite really needs to get a grip and impose some control at week ends.
