The Venetian Well was recommended by friends and what a recommendation!!
We hadn't booked and were lucky to get a table, anyhow a very warm welcome and a glass of proseco to start.
We then enjoyed two amuse bouche of gaspacho soup and beetroot pearls ( not the best description but superb ) then for our starters it was goats cheese salad and burreta salad ( just like buffalo mozzarella) both lovely. For our mains it was salmon and the days special of lamb on a base of a Greek type of polenta , both dishes were delicious and were washed down with a great white wine that the sommelier recommended.
And finally a couple of palate cleansers of limoncello and kumquat.
The restaurant is in a lovely backwater setting , the staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing so it's no surprise that the reviews are full of praise. It really is a excellent dining experience.
10/10 And no hesitation in recommending
