Great Greek food on the beach--gets crowded by locals and tourists so you could consider eating off hours or making a reservation. Really lively place cranking out amazing food and drink--lots of seafood and grill and always interesting specials. Very reasonable--we loved it so much that we ate there twice in 5 days! Great staff as well--very experienced and if you listen they will help you order the perfect meal.

Thank Reuben G

It’s quite hard to find a traditional restaurant with reasonable prices in Mykonos but finally we found it. Sure, it’s quite busy and therefore a reservation highly recommended but the service is extremely friendly and fast, the food excellent and the view amazing. We are frequently traveling to Greece and really liked this place a lot!

If you want an authentic Greek experience, coupled with a romantic and quiet atmosphere, head here. I can't say enough about Joanna's Nikos Place. It felt as though we were being welcomed into someone's house--yes Joanna is still working there around the clock and greeting tables, etc. My husband and I were staying in the Mykonos Bay area and this restaurant came highly recommended by our concierge. I honestly wish we ate here every night. Not only was the food phenomenal, but it was exactly what I was hoping for when I came to Greece. A quaint and homey restaurant literally sitting right on the beach...and then seeing the moon glistening on the water while you're eating in the porch area was something I will never forget. Joanna also heard it was our honeymoon, and told us about her husband (who sadly has passed) and gave us each a little nip of ouzo. It was such a kind gesture and a personal touch. Do yourself a favor and stop by here before you leave Mykonos. You won't regret it...and you will walk away with a new perspective and "local" feel for the transplants that build their life on the island. Thank you Joanna for your hospitality--we'll certainly never forget it! xx

We went to Joanna's at the recommendation of our hotel staff. They helped us get reservations after a long day at the beach this was the perfect meal. While we were seated we listened to a few men playing greek music and every so often a patron would stand up and dance along with the music. One man danced while balancing a shot glass on his head. The food was outstanding, fresh, and very yummy. The seating is along the ocean which is the perfect bag ground noise of waves crashing when the musicians took a break. The owner Joanna works the tables with a smile stopping to chat with patrons and ask about the food. She wishes the best experience for her patrons and that she delivers. We will always make Joanna's a stop when visiting Mykonos and I recommend you give it a try too.

We had dinner here one evening and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We really wanted a table outside and they made every effort to secure one for us, right by the sea. We has the best tzatziki of our entire trip and the red wine was delicious. We returned again two days later and had a lovely little seat outside next to the BBQ where we saw everything cooked fresh. All but one member of staff were female which we loved!
