We have been coming to Costa Adeje for Christmas and New Year for 5 years so we know the area well. We normally stay at H10 but this year needed a private place to relax as a family and decided on villa Avitan.
The attention to detail in the villa is outstanding, super clean and makes you feel like you are friends staying over, the owners polish it off with extras that add a nice welcome touch ( champagne in the fridge, fresh fruit, water on arrival). There has been no cost spared on this Villa.
The power showers are great after a day in the sun and the deep bath is heaven, plenty of linen and sun beds very comfortable.
The complex itself isn't that big but this is the last villa so the walk from front door to the gates in heat can be hard as it is quite hilly, that being said you are on the top looking over adeje which provides stunning views night and day. Taxi is easy enough to order and La Taroga is well known so no issues getting about but we found very few taxi drivers who would enter the complex. My dad is 80 and my daughter is 23 weeks pregnant and they found the walk from the main gate to the villa very difficult so I can not stress enough hire a car.
Plenty of bars and restaurants within 20 min walk (5Min drive). The supermarket at the mall is expensive (think Waitrose prices) so if you want the same goods for less head to the harbour supermarket.
Pool area is a sun trap so if you love the sun you will love this area. Apart from a barking dog on the opposite villa who was left out a couple of days it was lovely and peaceful.
Only downside was taxi drivers from the firm recommended by the villa were very abrupt with us, we have never experienced this on previous visits or with drivers from the outside ranks.
Also we like to dine alfresco but there is no outside table and chairs in the lounge terrace which I think would be welcomed.
Would absolutely return next year
