Having read the reviews we chose to book a table for the final night of our honeymoon. Our table had been especially decorated to celebrate our marriage and we were offered congratulations by the family which was a lovely touch. The food was all locally produced and beautifully cooked and presented along with a gorgeous Sauvignon Blanc from south Tirol. We were fortunate to be there on a lovely evening so our view from the terrace was beautiful. We’d highly recommend Alt Mosern, thank you for a lovely evening.

Only discovered this restaurant the last day of our stay in Mosern.
Very good food and a wonderful view over the Inntall.

I have to say the food was really really good! It’s not the typical Austrian food. A bit of Tyrol, a bit of Italy, something Mediterranean. Of course the local trout and the kaiserschmarrn are also on the menu! We shared an appetizer (delicious fresh goat cheese served on warm vegetables), then had a main each (for me the grilled trout with potato salad on the side) and we shared dessert (amazing reinterpretation of the kaiserschmarrn with berries and ice-cream) with some wine. Total about 30€ each. View is amazing, get a table close to the glass window. Service however is really really bad. Absolutely unlike Tyrol friendliness...And we got served by the 2 owners. They’re in a hurry and let you know they don’t have a minute to lose although there aren’t that many people there. They are stressed and are communicative about it. They don’t like to answer your questions nor give advice. And when comes time to pay, with no one left in the restaurant except one table finishing lunch, you get to wait 10 minutes in the middle of the way, the wife walking by many times, even welcoming a couple to the hotel even though they got in when we were already waiting, while the husband is “busy” putting glasses away...

Called in here one afternoon for some Apple strudel and a hot chocolate. We sat outside on the terrace as it was surprisingly warn in the sunshine and were treated to some stunning views of the village and surrounding mountains. Hot chocolate and strudel were delicious but not cheap, coming to just over €8. Staff were very friendly and spoke pretty good English too.

Delicious food with much more variety then other restaurants in the area. Prompt service from the staff. Food is very modern in their techniques and presentation. If we would have been in the area longer we would have gone back the next night!
Would 100% recommend!
