The Hotel
This is two hotels that have been attached together with along walkway that goes over the roofs of the building below. The two hotels share one main restaurant which you can imagine gets very busy most of the time.
There are two swimming pools on both sides of the hotels. Which were advertised as heated this was the main reason that we picked this hotel. We were disappointed to find this was non existent, all pools were empty most of the time, with no one brave enough to take the plunge.
The rooms are large with a spacious balcony very dated but are clean and plenty of storage . Just a tv and a empty mini fridge and a hair dryer, there is no tea and coffee facilities the Nearest one is at the main restaurant. The only one concern was the bath / shower unit which you have to climb into this wasn’t a issue for us but maybe for others that struggle with getting into a bath at home.
The staff.
I can’t say a bad thing about any of the staff all very friendly, a big well done is required here.
All areas of the hotel are clean including the gardens
All in all
If you are given a room in the second hotel you may be a little disappointed, like the other reviews have pointed out you are kind of forgotten and I can see what they mean.
There needs to be more here as they have got a spacious lobby area with a few seats there is no where in the second hotel to get a drink at night or any entertainment.
The entertainment is awful, and the seating area is in the style of an auditorium rather than a sociable seating plan. This was unable to cater for all the guest.

Dear kevn055,

Thank you for reviewing Hotel Riu Paraiso Lanzarote Resort following your stay with us.

We are pleased to read that you highlighted the kindness of our staff and the cleanliness of the hotel areas. Also, although we are glad to hear that you felt comfortable in your room, we regret to learn that you would have appreciated to be provided with your own coffee and tea maker machine in your room.

Regarding our entertainment, we are surprised by your comments and it saddens us to learn that our facilities did not live up your expectations. We will share your perception with the corresponding department to follow up.

To end, we would like to inform you that four of our six pools are heated in winter season, we are sorry to learn that you left our hotel thinking otherwise.

It has been a pleasure to receive you and we will be delighted to do it again in a near occasion.

With our best wishes we remain,

Hotel Riu Paraiso Lanzarote Resort

Just back from our 3rd stay here. Absolutely fantastic place to stay. When they say all inclusive that's what they mean. No hidden extras. Food, drink and staff are all excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. We stayed in the main building and always get the same room which makes you feel that little bit special. Rooms are clean ans have loads of wardrobe space and drawersl. TV in room has a good number of channels. Pool area is well organised with no rush for a sun bed. Entertainment Team very good. Perfect holiday. We will be back ....thank you.

The bad bits Stopped here end of August till 9 September for two week late flight so they did keep food for us but only salads and bread rolls we were told we had a quiet room what they didn’t tell us we had a twenty minute wall over the bridge up to the 4th floor and carry on walking to room 4463 we are pensioners so we were not impressed that we had that walk 4 times a day for 2 weeks the entertainment was poor and the acts that came in were good and the resident organist and singer but for me the animation team miming to songs nearly every night were shocking . The god bits. Hotel spotlessly clean room cleaned daily food good in the restaurant and snack bar and the Asian restaurant excellent out of the back gate you can turn left or right and you come to shops bars and restaurant s we went on the cattamaran trip which I can recommend and we went to the music hall tavern you can have a meal and watch a drag show both the food and act were very good so one thing to the manager put older people near the reception as that walk every day wasn’t what you wanted at the end of the day A lot of people got bit so I took a plug-in for the bedroom and put dry oil body spray at night as we walked through the gardens every night and I didn’t get bit all in all good holiday shame about the miming animation team☹️

I have just returned from this hotel with my family. I have to say we had a good time. But with two pool mad children the pool was freezing.

We chose the hotel as they advertise heated pool in winter. End of October is winter. It was as if a switch went on on 1st November , the day we came home. Heaters were placed all around the bar areas. We overheard a rep saying to someone the pool will have warmed in two weeks.

I have read people said the rooms were tired. Ours weren’t they were decorated in the Canarian style but not at alll tired. The beds were very comfortable.

The food was plentiful and always hot with plenty of choice. There were five of us, we usually have to pull up a chair to a four table but not here. Tables for six were plentiful.

Have to admit it was so very busy especially at breakfast time although our tables were round the outside so did not seem so cramped.

The hotel does need an indoor bar. One for the wholes hotel is not enough.

We did book the Mexican and Canadian for dinner, which was a nice change.

Entertainment was as good as you see anywhere else. The animation team worked very hard.

What a shame more use isn’t made of the entrance so the hotel linked by a passage. It looks wonderful but gives the impression of a ghost town as it is empty.

The sun shone for us and overall we had an excellent holiday

Room tip: Request a room in the main hotel as we did. It’s a long walk to the other side. Go for a pool view room too.

This was our second time at this hotel and it won’t be our last, we absolutely love it!
Check in was quick and easy, we had already requested a specific room and it was granted which was massively appreciated.
Rooms; The rooms are a good size and overall good (the showers are amazing)
Food/Drink; We’re veggies and we managed to eat well at every meal, the speciality restaurants are great too! There’s also a brilliant wee cafe just a few mins walk (I can’t remember the name but it’s next door to the car rental place) and you’ll get a full English/veggie English for around €5.
Pool; We spent most of our time at the main pool and this is the best pool with the best atmosphere I’ve ever experienced! The entertainment team are great and keep you amused all day (without you actually having to take part). The garden areas are immaculate and so lovely to admire when you’re walking to the beach.
The only thing that stopped a 5* was that we didn’t get late check out; instead we had to check out at 11am (our transfer was 19:05) We were allowed a courtesy room for 30 mins to shower and change but it’s not ideal and tarnishes the last day of your holiday.
Overall though, we love this hotel and will definitely return.
