“Charges for the tempura dipping”

We shop at the local Asian grocer and decided to give it a go. Food wasn’t great but as it serves a local community, I reckon they can get away with it. The salmon in the maki was in tiny pieces and it all fell apart as I bit into it. The tempura don my wife ordered came with so much rice it could have fed both of us. However, the most disappointing was the dipping sauce which came in a tiny bowl (a real Japanese restaurant gives you a big bowl!) and when my wife used it up, she asked for another and was also given another small bowl. When we paid, I noticed a $1 charge for sauce and we queried the owner/manager who proudly said we charge for sauce. Firstly, this is dipping sauce for tempura and don’t rort your customers by charging. Secondly, we were not told that it cost extra when we asked for more sauce. It’s the principle so beware of this greedy restaurant.

We literally dragged our reluctant kids to dinner tonight!! All four of us left extremely happy. As always, we had great service and enjoyed delicious, fresh food. We had a mix of gyoza, bento boxes, maki rolls and seafood ramen.
The kids are already asking when we're going back!!!

We discovered this restaurant by chance. The restaurant does not face the road and therefore easy to miss. The Japanese food served was of good quality and freshness. Wilson, made us feel at home and was impressed with the service. Prices are reasonable and a great place where you can get together with family and friends. It is also a family friendly restaurant

Master Shifu is a firm family favourite for both the quality of the food and the warmth of the service. Wilson is a warm and friendly host who makes sure that everything is to your satisfaction, advising of any delays to food service on busier nights.

The food is great - fresh and tasty - and the bento boxes are good value and come in a variety of different styles. My favourites are the Agedashi Tofu (delicious) and the Master Sushi & Sashimi Platter - but be prepared to wait for the latter as it is freshly prepared on order and takes time.

Service can be a little slow at times, however if you don't go when you are in a rush this shouldn't be a problem. Just have another drink and relax!!

Went here tonight with my boyfriend and we were really happy. We had the seaweed salad (a favorite of ours) and a beef and Katsu chicken Bento. Everything was really delicious and well presented. This is not fine dining so if you are expecting authentic Japanese don't be mistaken - it is delicious, well made and a very clean restaurant but it is unfair to judge it by whether it is 'authentic'. If you are looking for cheap, delicious food come here. Beef and chicken were tender and really well made. Seaweed salad was as good as any. Service was incredible. Waitresses were attentive and manager kept an eye on us. Also the cleanliness really appealed to me along with the calming music and relaxing atmosphere. Just lovely.
