We had a relaxing weekend at this lodge. The rooms were the best part of the weekend and the bed quality excellent. The lack of curtains did however wake you up early and your view from the deck was limited. We felt the food standard could improve considering the price you pay for it. You only get brunch and dinner with a selection of Woolies snacks for "high tea". We went for a game drive that was very good.

What a great getaway. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The food was absolutely amazing, you will not go hungry at this lodge ;-)
The safari drives were entertaining and the driver was full of information, that it made the drive even more awesome.
The owners of the lodge have put their personal touch into this amazing place and that is what makes a place so special and one of a kind.
We will definitely be back!
This is a stunning lodge with amazing views from the deck. The rooms are huge and beautifully furnished with great attention to detail and this is carried throughout the lodge.The food is great and prepared and served just beautifully. Deric and Belinda are lovely congenial hosts and their staff are great, nothing is too much trouble. We were made to feel very welcome right from the start and that is the beauty of staying at a small lodge like this, you are pampered and spoiled and leave feeling totally relaxed. A really lovely place to escape to for a few days, just bring a book and chill on the deck overlooking the bush with a nice bottle of wine, perfect!!
We had a fantastic time in the Lodge. Everything was perfect. Deric and Belinda and their Team was perfect. The Game Drives were nice and interesting. The food was delicious and the Rooms are like in paradise. We would like to come back again!!

My Husband and I had a wonderful 2 day break, food, the lodges and the service was amazing. The animals we saw from the lodge and the game drive was a wonderful experience. This was part of a 3 month break to see our Son in South Africa, now back home Phumelelo lodge is first thing we talk about to our family and friends, a wonderful relaxing 2 days break.
We booked a 2 night stay for 4 people and were overwhelmed by how lovely this little gem of a lodge was - it exceeded all our expectations in every way.
In terms of
Location - the park was just beautiful and there was plenty of game.
Accommodation - the rooms were gorgeously plush and comfortable (even nicer than the pictures on the website)
Food - The dining experience at this lodge is cozy and intimate with meals served on the veranda, allowing you to enjoy a stunning view of the bush while you enjoy your meal. All of the food was expertly prepared by the host and his staff - just delicious, especially the garlic butter steak, cheesy potato bake and the divine ox tail potjie.
Service - Just excellent! All of the staff were helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Derek and his lovely wife were charming and accommodating hosts.
We just had the best holiday here and would be happy to return anytime.
