Great experience.
Couple of pointers 1) camp sites are abit small - we went off-peak so were able to extend ourselves over 1.5 sites. This may not be possible during peak times 2)One block of bathrooms did not have hot water. Was not too busy so we were able to use another block close by 3) Camp crew are GREAT!!!! -

Room Tip: Make sure you set up your tent correctly to block out the sun - summer heat can be bad

My boyfriend's company organised 2 weekend team building events (one at the end of 2012 and one last year). We camped, so I can't speak for the state of the chalets or hotel rooms, but the camping was truly great fun! If you want to have a good time, you must know what to expect.

There aren't very strict noise rules and the place is well lit at night so you can stay up late and have a bit of a party (while remaining considerate of other campers of course). I found fellow campers to be considerate, but you can't expect total peace and quiet as this is a large, very popular, family resort and there are tons of campsites, so if you want peace and quiet in nature, you will be disappointed. So I advise that you bring your 'fun hat', relax, have a late braai and some drinks and enjoy the vibe! (or bring earplugs if you want to sleep early) The campsites are very large and spacious and you don't feel cramped or right on top of the surrounding campers. The many available campsites also means that you can get a booking fairly easily.

There are kiosks all over the camp and they stay open till late which is very convenient as you can get firewood, charcoal, refreshments and ICE - an all important luxury when camping in the heat! The kiosks are very convenient and you don't have to worry about bringing the proverbial kitchen sink along when you pack, because everything you need can be bought right there. However, it is quite expensive (especially alcohol) so I advise you bring most of what you need if you are on a budget. There is also a Spur and a Pannerotti's so if you are an especially lazy camper and have money to throw around, or worried about your food going off, you can forget about packing food entirely and just eat out. There are plenty of bathrooms which are basic, but clean and hygienic.

As an overnight camper, you can swim at night, and after 5 when all the day visitors have left. This is the BEST as you have the whole pool pretty much to yourself (the hydro pool, however, gets more crowded at night, with hardly a space to put your towel, so go there during the day rather). The same goes for the mornings - if you are up early, you can hit the pools (and awesome fun slides) before the crowds.

The planned activities for the team building day were really fun (surprisingly) and included spur lunch. Again, bring a positive attitude to face the crowds! The Saturday day visitors leave some litter, but this is quickly cleaned up and the pools are kept nice and clean and blue.

All in all, we had a great time on both occasions!

My boyfriend and I decided to do something different and instead of camping at Warm Baths, we stayed in the hotel. What a mistake!

The room was over priced, we were forced to eat at Spur for breakfast (if you advertise your establishment as a bed and breakfast, one assumes there will be a restaurant - not a crappy Spur attached to it.)

Security at the check in point are unfriendly, unhelpful and rude. Our room came with one coffee sachet, one glass and one cup- they knew two people were staying in this room.

To call themselves a 3 Star establishment is ridiculous. I was not impressed at all.

We stayed one night during the week, and the pools were packed with school children. We only managed to swim in the evening, once all the large crowds had left. The warm pools were lovely, and the changing rooms were clean.

The log cabins are a little outdated, and the electricity kept tripping when we had more than 3 appliances on at the same time.

This is definitely a family orientated resort, although a little pricey.

We left early the next morning, and saw the children queueing outside at 7am already.
