Lovely accommodation, very clean and good standard.
Friendly staff, helpful.
Quite hilly so not great for walking, but plenty of parking.
Only downside was no wifi in accommodation. Though good signal for mobile data. Wifi fairly essential these days.
Game drives were good. Went morning, sunset and night.
A big 5 rated park we saw all except leopard, hard to see them ever. And Rhino only from the rear at night. Probably best. Got surrounded by elephants at night, let's just say it was a thrill.
Predator park for around a tenner, where the sanctuary gives refuge to big cats that have a history and not suitable for rewilding.
4 pints of beer and 2 cocktails c £14 in the bar. No complaints
Stayed three nights, shouldhave been more

Fantastic location and accommodation in a game reserve with great amenities and various activities for all ages Kubu Camp is just breathtakingly beautiful.
Fully equipped 3 bedroom en suite bathrooms, beautiful decor and stunning finishes. The lodge comes with its own private game viewing vehicles and a wonderful housekeeper. I have an eye for detail and I can’t find anything that needs improvement here. What an amazing experience! The sunset and night drive is a must. The rangers have a vast knowledge of the game as well as the trees and plants. The facilities are well kept and beautiful. Such a great place to stay. A relaxing environment. Highly recommend Mabalingwe and its friendly staff.

When we visit game reserves we love to do game drives. As this was our first time in Mabalingwe and the fact that our lodge didn't have a vehicle, we opted for the Mabalingwe company La Ferne. This was point blank the worst game drive ever. The young admin lady on the telephone was extremely rude. The game drive companies are only allowed in certain areas where all the other companies and private vehicles drive. Total madness and a tourist trap. Mabalingwe advertises the big 5, nowhere do they inform you that the predators are kept at the predator park. The vehicle that we were on made the most horrific noises and we were all waiting for the vehicle just fall apart. The vehicle was extremely small. Both men in our group were extremely uncomfortable. The game ranger Madelein was the highlight of the grueling 2 hours as she was knowledgeable and told us a few interesting facts. Game rangers don't have 2 way radio's, so their cell phones go off the whole time with a loud ping. Compared to any other game reserve this game viewing was totally below average. Not recommended at all.
