A whole new look for L'air du temps and a slightly different menu. We went for our first night pizza - drinks and some tapanade and bread arrived whilst we chose. The Pizzas were thicker and not brilliant, but we were offered a take home for what we diid not eat, which was great. The side salad was delicious, not listed on the menu but just ask. The 28 euro menu looks v good value - probably should have tried that. Deserts were nice. Still the lovely generosity of a limoncello / amaretto shot with the bill. The service was at a nice pace. Yann the patron has retired and is much missed. We do wish the new patrons every success and will be back.

We had a lovely meal here last year, but things have taken a decided downturn. I think it may be under new management? A perfect pizza last year, is now a rather soggy, doughy mass. Other food was good, with very large portions - I would go for one course only - but not at the same standard as previously.

Annoyingly, they have now started a dish where people cook food at their table on a hot plate. So the whole place stinks of frying meat (in addition to the fondue odors). I was there two weeks ago and my jacket still smells as though it was cooked in a deep fat fryer!

So, if you like a big portion of average food, and don't mind the smell, proceed with caution ...

We had a super meal here - lovely unpretentious atmosphere, great value and one of the best homemade pizzas I have ever eaten. Throughly recommended!

Just friendly, good fun and great for big parties. Yann, the patron, is always good company. Don't expect haute cuisine, but do expect honest, good value food. The woodfired pizza oven is always in use, and turns out a mean range of dishes. Ask for his apple tarte cooked in the oven as a perfect end to the meal. Delicious!

I've been to this restaurant for 4 times at least, and it's still great value for money. It serves traditional Savoie cuisine in a very intimate hall, with few tables.

Food: quality of food is excellent, portions are very generous (and if you want some more, you just ask and they'll bring it!). You can have more traditional alpine dishes (Tartiflette, Raclette, Fondue, etc.) but also simpler meat &salad dishes. My favourite is by far the pierrade: you are given your own electric cooker and raw meat (of lamb, beef and goose) and you make your own steaks the way you want. This is accompanied by potatoes, sauces, mushrooms salad and other vegetables.

Desserts and wine selection very good as well. The owner is extremely friendly and will offer you a selection of Italian liquors at the end of the dinner.

Also, the restaurant is also a pizza take-away (I think is one of the very few with a real oven).

Definitely worth it
