Me and my hubby needed to get away from the hustle and bustle and found the Keswick perfect for this. Right by the beach it was perfect for the views. Margaret and Russ were the perfect hosts, always friendly, smiling and nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was superb and ample choice. It will definitely be mine and my hubbys get away from it all destination from now on.

Needed a break away from the masses, and found it in Bacton Norfolk. The Keswick was perfect for us it was friendly and comfortable with a superb breakfast.Hosts were great and helpful with local knowledge etc.dog friendly rooms also available for pet owners.miles of beach accessed from hotel car park to promenade.very peaceful beaches separated by sea defences making it possible to have a stretch of beach sometimes to yourself. The sea was calm enough for a swim when we visited, with the added pleasure of seals swimming close to shore. The Keswick does not do evening meals but there are various places locally including pub with restaurant next door and great fish and chips 5 minutes walk, aswell as small shop for snacks cold beer etc.lots of visitor attractions nearby if needed, including seals on the beach at Horsey, and Norfolk Broads for boat hire etc.locally in Bacton there were a couple of places that rented indoor pools by the hour for your personal use.overall The Keswick was perfect for a good relaxing break by the sea

We were greeted by Margaret upon arrival who was very friendly and helpful, and gave us a choice of 2 rooms, having not seen the front street view room we immediately decided on the sea view at the back. The room itself was very small, a little run down, no wardrobe space to place anything, only a hanger which accommodated my clothes only. There was only one towel each which had to last us for our 2 night/3 day stay as it wasn't changed, toiletries which finished the first day and were never replaced, and 1 sachet of normal coffee plus some decaf and tea which weren't topped up. Plus the shower wasn't very good either. (I also never saw anyone at reception after that first day to ask about getting a towel replaced etc)
That said, the area to the left of the reception where we were placed seemed like we were in another hotel altogether- because as you go towards the right side of the reception it all changes! The hotel becomes clean, well kept more modern, and the breakfast is simply divine! We ordered the salmon and scrambled eggs on the first day and the Norfolk special of a fry up the next, my partner and I both agreed we had never tasted such a well cooked breakfast before! Accompanied by fresh fruit, a selection of yoghurt and cereals it was lovely. I am not sure why they do not have a restaurant here because the breakfast area is huge and a chef who obviously knows what he/she is doing!
The hotel does back onto a vast, unending beach, where you can walk for miles and miles but it is in a remote part of town, I would advise that a car is definitely needed here. Plenty of free parking is available! The sunset on the beach was amazing!
