“Amazing cottage - best weekend break”
Reviewed 29 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

I can highly recommend Gwarcae to anyone looking for a holiday in Wales. The cottage itself is stunning, surrounded by fields and trees - it's a real little hideaway.

The cottage was in immaculate condition, the lounge has two comfy sofas, a TV, DVD player and stereo. It has an open fire and a wood burning stove as well as a dining room table. The kitchen has everything you need to create a delicious dinner, with all the amenities you would expect. Upstairs there are 3 good size rooms and a bathroom (the shower is amazing - better than he one at home)!

Beds were already made when we arrived and so was the fire (and wood burning stove) so we settled in very quickly and were out the door on our ffrst walk within 20minutes!

The surrounding area is just stunning, lots of lovely walks to go on, the views over the Valley are breath taking, lots of sheep, cows and horses to look at - so great for kids. We also went on a drive around the reservoirs (you can walk to them but we were feeling lazy), so much to see and take photos of!

The town is a less than 5 minute drive from the cottage and has a large number of shops (butchers, fruit and veg, newsagents, Spa) etc you can pick up anything you need, plus there are a number of pubs to eat in. I'd recommend the Triangle - good grub at a reasonable price.

If you like antique shopping then you will definitely find some interesting bits to buy at a fraction of the price that you would pay in London!

Absolutely love this cottage, can't wait to go back, already planning our next trip!
