We stayed in The Minver Rose for a week at the beginning of August and had a fantastic stay. The owners were very welcoming and picked us up from the train station, which was helpful for us. The house was very clean and tidy, but cosy at the same time. We especially liked the decked area at the back of the house where we sat every morning to eat breakfast in the sun and even had a few barbecues! We recommend going to David Brown's Butcher for your meat. There is also a co-op local just down the road and The Spey Larder, selling deli style food.
We were lucky to have picked the weekend that the local highland games were on, a great day out enjoyed by both of us and very Scottish! We also visited The Glenlivet Distillery another brilliant day out with a tour of the distillery and whiskey tasting, followed by a night in the Mash Tun pub in Aberlour, where we met some of the locals who were very friendly!
We definitely enjoyed our stay and will be going back to visit next year!
