This is in a secure complex on the northeast side of Bucerias. You have to cross the highway to get to the beach but it is no more than a 5-7 minute walk. The condo itself is well stocked and the furniture is comfortable and beds comfortable. There are 3 bedrooms on the second level and a fourth on the main floor. The 4th bedroom is also the TV room and is separated from the main living area by sliding glass doors that have a floor to ceiling mesh blind so not completely private but would be very good for kids to sleep. There were a few minor issues/repairs that were needed at the beginning of our stay and when we contacted Dave he was always very responsive and addressed our concerns immediately. We will be back in 2020!
Spent a relaxing month in Bucerias.
House was spacious, well appointed, large bedrooms and bathrooms. Could use a few more bath linens. That would alleviate daily loads of towels.
Dave was very quick to answer all questions. He even bought 2 floor fans for bedroom ventilation . They eliminated using air conditions.
Roof terrace almost became our main living space. It was so comfortable .
Something to be aware of out of Dave’s control, early morning roosters and traffic noise.
Great complex, very well cared for.
Hope to return!
The house is spacious, really well equipped, furniture is chosen with good taste, the security is excellent and the community is very well maintained. The beaches in Bucerias are close and were our favourites in the area (no rocks in the water, nice surf, beaches were not crowded, safe, close-by restaurant Adauto serves excellent “pulpo ajo”). If you don’t want to go to the beach, the pool is just a minute from the house - we spend many evenings there even after sunset as the water is warm.
The caretaker is really nice, warm-hearted, helpful and we hired her also to cook for us - really good, fresh sea food. The owner responded very quickly and well to fix a matter. For getting around in the nearby area, taxis are easily available, safe and low cost. Bottom line: great place for families and friends to spend a relaxing vacation.
Bucerias just north of Puerto Vallarta is an interesting small town on the ocean with lots of restaurants and attractions nearby. A bit of a hike to the beach but manageable. It's a great pleasure to have dinner on the beach, toes in sand, watching the sun set.
I was a little unsure about staying in a complex, but we had the most amazing view of the ocean and the townhouse itself was gorgeous.
Dave was very accommodating and replied to all my questions and emails very quickly. Our blender was broken when we arrived and Dave had us reimbursed with the cost before we left. This place has everything you need for your vacation. The beach towels were provided and very much appreciated.
The location is great and within 3 minute walking distance of the beach and the oxxo. We did walk to the Chedraui one day but it was too far to pack groceries back (personally I like the Mega way better).
Couple things I would like to mention. There was construction going on during our stay on our building. Two guys were redoing the top railing. There was quite a bit of noise starting at 9am and going until about 6pm. It was ok though we were gone most of the day anyway.
The sheets were very rough and unless your feet are like a baby's bum, they catch on the sheets every time you move. I tried to get the hubby to go buy new ones, but he refused so I slept in my socks.
The pool is great but quite cold as most pools in Mex are not heated. All the "retirees" there were very friendly.
The house keeper (Mago) does not speak any English! So if you have questions, ask them to Dave in advance.
There is Air Conditioning in every room with remote. We assumed there would be a charge for electricity when Mago took a picture of the meter when she left, so we shut them off during the day. It stayed pretty cool in there anyway. There is a nice cool breeze in the morning as well. The safe appeared to be a locked filing cabinet.
i'd like to see better cushions on the upper palapa. We took the ones off the bench outside by the front door and used them upstairs.
All the little TINY nitpicking aside, if you are on the fence about this place, don't be. I would come back and stay here in a heartbeat (and we probably will).
