Lovely cosy cottage. Very central for the western highlands with the fantastic scenery and areas to visit. Even when its raining the area is still beautiful
We stayed for two weeks and it was not the best weather but the cottage felt good with beams and brass and stone walls. All the utensils you could need and more. Getting on and off the parking area needs care as cars and bike come around the bend too fast. Lots of books and guides, and we left a couple more books. Wi-Fi brilliant, DVD and TV ok bit fiddly and could be a lot better and bigger, no radio. Main bed very poor as it needs a new matrass you feel the springs and it does not support you; this was a big draw back; but a lovely view from the bed. Lots on lots of blankets, pillows and towels. The open fire may work but we did not use it as there was no fire guard. The shower is not forceful and is too hot even with the heater turned right down on number 3, it works best on number 2 and was fine for two weeks.
Just as shown in the photos. Well equipped kitchen for preparing meals at home. Local Co-op in Ballachulish has all you need.
Good location for travelling to Oban or Fort William. Local walks and Glencoe not to be missed.Friendly Sunday night session at The Clachaig Inn worth a visit whether you play an instrument, sing or just want to listen. Next time we are in the area will try to book this cottage again.
