We were staying at a different establishment in the town which didn’t do food so we were looking for somewhere to have our evening meal. We went up to the waiter at Le Parc Sologne and asked if we could eat at the hotel. The waiter was very curt and asked if we were staying there? when I said no he marched us away from the other guests and sat us at a not so favourable table and we were made to feel very unwelcome. We looked at the menu and unfortunately the set menu we wanted wasn’t available on a Friday evening. We admit we don’t speak much French and are not proud of that fact but we overheard the waiter and waitress sniggering at us. We advised them that we were leaving as were not prepared to stay when we were made to feel so unwelcome. We then found another place to eat in the town where the welcome was warm and the food was fantastic ‘Hotel Lion D’Or’ which restores our faith in French hospitality.

Booked very last minute as it had started to snow on our way back to UK. Had passed this place many times on our way to the South.
Very nice room , large bed very clean and delighted to see the bath as well as shower.
The reception was friendly but a little disappointed we could not bring our dog into the bar with us.
Did not eat in the restaurant or stay for breakfast but bar and dining area look very nice.
Sadly due to the very snowy weather we left early so did not experience breakfast.
Would certainly recommend this hotel.

The location was perfect for an overnight stay on our way to South West France, but the hotel and the town were so nice we will return for a longer stay. The room was spacious, warm and comfortable. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly.

We stayed here as our usual item was closed. Well appointed hotel with friendly and professional staff. Owner was helpful and informative.
The bedroom was big, well furnished and decorated with an enormous bed and good shower room.
We dined in a big dining room, completely refurbished since we were last there, however, we felt that €29 for 2 courses was overpriced, as the food, though ok was somewhat bland with our starter of gambas tasting of disinfectant.
Certainly, this was a three star hotel, but we have stayed in other Logis de France equally as good which were not so expensive.

My wife and I stayed here on a drive up to Calais from the north of Spain. It's just 6 hours driving from the border (the Clermont Ferrand route) and a further 5 hours up to Calais.
The hotel is nicely set back from the road just on the edge of the small town of Salbris. The room was clean, quite well appointed with a very comfortable bed. The welcome was warm and friendly and the check in process efficient. Breakfast was continental buffet style with a lot of home made and local produce. At the price we paid for a double room (85Euro) it came close to top marks. But the use of cheap plastic cups in the bathroom and cardboard beakers in the room for tea or coffee let it down a little. That said I would stay again and would recommend the hotel for a short stay or a stop over.

Room Tip: Standard double rooms are fine for a one night stay. Premium rooms (with plastic and cardboard drinking vessels) for a little extra money.
