We were here just after Christmas and enjoyed it. A split level room, spacy and well arranged. The diners and breakfasts we were served, were very well.
The buildings are well maintained, reconstructed I guess. Employees friendly and professional. Highly recommended!
Small minors are the distance between the (some) rooms and the restaurant and, when having such a big surface available, quiet poor arranged parking and maintenance area.

We spent a day at Ruremonde Outlet and decided to spend a night in the area before heading back on the road. Thanks to the magazine Flair I was able to benefit from a voucher of € 35/person/night in a double room. Supplement of € 15 / person for breakfast. We arrive around 9:30 pm and there is no one at the front desk. I did not warn that we were coming so late. After having pressed the bell three times and calling the reception by phone, a friendly woman welcomes us by explaining the necessary information (room, place of breakfast). We arrive in the room, my companion and I are frightened by the ugliness of decoration, the luminosity that is non-existent, it was like a horrorfilm. It was a kind of suite with living room downstairs and upstairs a bedroom. The stairs that crack... The deco from the top is as ugly as down. The only window in the room is hidden by the wardrobe. A second locked door leads to another staircase...
We decide to go to the front desk to say that we feel really bad in this room. The receptionist proposes us a suite in the tower with jacuzzi and sauna with a supplement of 60 euros. We hesitate but it was that or paid for nothing and leave. We decide to go to the room. Luckily this room was great. The sauna is not really a sauna, but an infrared cabin, but it was good and relaxing as well as the bubble bath and the Italian shower. The mattress was just perfect. We slept very well. Breakfast was very good too. This is the misadventure that cost us dearly for one night. I will not stay here again.

Good points:
• Friendly staff - especially the waiting staff who were working at the event we were attending. They were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble
• Lovely setting - very scenic
• Large, spacious room (we had a split level suite) and bathroom which were well appointed. Coffee and tea facilities in the room, umbrella provided, bath robes available
• Plenty of free car parking
• Good breakfast selection
• The room was clean on arrival

• Restaurant closes at 21.00h so if you're arriving late in the evening it can be a bit of a rush to make it in time to get some food
• Staircase to the bedroom is very steep
• Had to ask at reception for a shower cap as there was none provided and also couldn't find a laundry bag

Points for improvement:
• Our room was not made up on the only full day we were staying. We took in our Do Not Disturb 'duck' (they use ornaments rather than signs!) between 10.00h and 12.30h so the room could be serviced but housekeeping did not make up the room during that time. The duck was in again from 14.30h but when we went back to the room after 17.30h, a bag of towels had been left outside but the room still hadn't been made up. When I asked at reception, I was told that if the duck was out when housekeeping came to our room (which they apparently did at around 12.40h when we had just put the duck out again as we had to get ready for the event we were attending) then the room would not be made up at all that day and they would only drop clean towels outside the room. At EUR 120 a night, I think that level of housekeeping is unacceptable. I then had to ask for more toilet paper to be brought and again, it was just dropped outside the room rather than put in it, even though the duck was not out. We didn't make more of a fuss as we were leaving the next day anyway and we were too busy at the event to spend time discussing the matter further, but to say we'd missed the housekeeping window, when the room could have been serviced between 10.00h and 12.30h (which is a reasonable time on a weekend), wasn't what we'd expect from this level of hotel. And once this was brought to their attention, most hotels would send someone to make the room up regardless of what time it is rather than take a 'it's too late' approach!?

Would we stay again? Possibly, if housekeeping matched the price tag.

High tea with large group op people today was a big disappointment.
Not even one of the three waitresses was friendly. Not even an apology when a glas of wine was accidentally poured over one of of our family member his back.
Clearly lack of a good manager who makes it a priority to always being friendly to your guests as they are ultimately paying their wages. Never ever again.

Dear guest,

Thank you for your feedback after your visit to our restaurant. We regret your poor experience during the High Tea. We agree that our waitresses should always be friendly and helpfull, especially in case they accidently spill a drink over someones clothes.
The person in question can always contact us so we can pay for the dry cleaning costs.

We will of course talk to our staf about this matter so we can prevent this kind of negative experience in the future.

Had a fantastic valentine diner here.
Staying in the towersuite with bublebath and sauna.

Enjoying it very much. Great view. Huge comfortable bed.

They really did a great job on the restauration.

Friendly staff.
