Markets aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, though this market has a great variety of stalls, with handmade crafts, local foods, and the small shops all neatly feel part of the experience.

We visited Teguise market on Sunday. There was 50 stalls with 5 different sets of items.

1) Designer handbags, purses, t-shirts, caps.
2) local tribal african handmade orenaments.
3) Fruit & Veg
4) Aloe Vera stalls
5) local handmade embroidery.

There are 3 meseums: Violen/ Ukellie, Pirate, Church. We walked up to the pirate meseum. Really enjoyed it. 3e entry. Wear comfortable shoes.

I'd definitely recommend a visit to anyone who visits Lanzarote. The market is huge and sells everything from local food and crafts, great for gifts as well as lots of fake branded clothing and accessories.

I read some reviews and most people don’t like the market. Some things you have to try it and judge it yourself. We enjoyed ourselves. The market has everything you need (including toilets). My sister, nieces and I went to the market for the day (with a buggy). It’s so big, I don’t think we saw half it but most stands sell similar items. Never pay the first price they give you, haggling for a better price and if that person don’t want to sell it to you at a reasonably price, there are many more stands that sell the same thing. Take plenty of water with you and a hat because the heat is something else. We went there last December and the heat, I felt like I was melting. Put your water/juice in the freezer overnight.
