“Lovely villa but a bit tired”
Reviewed 25 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We have just spent a week at this villa and it is nice but feel that it could do with a makeover...the living area is spacious but a bit tired the couch could do with a freshen up the TV is ok if you understand Arabic but we never used it.. the kitchen is small and bad lighting at night practical but always full of ants.
The pool and outside are stunning along with the views although the outside shower is turned on by a screw...and constantly full of ants at night time the large ants appeared.

The climb up to the bedrooms isn't the best... bedrooms are ok but master room is just two single beds pushed together with a king size sheet over top. Again the lighting was poor in the bathroom and shower/bath was poor drainage so had to use other bathroom.

The villa has magnificent views but just getting up to front door is a hike and parking on the street isn't the best. You are far along the road and along walk to get to the taxi rank along a very dark area even had to direct the taxis to where we were.

We having been coming to lanzarote for past 12 yrs and have used other villas which were cheaper and offered a lot more and found this to be more expensive and location was poor we still thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and know next time to go further in town.

We stayed here for the feb half term week, upon arrival the view really was as good as in the pics!. We settled in and it's a shame we had to go straight out again as there was no water or milk or anything provided. The owner(who lives underneath) came to greet us on our first evening and we did have a bit of trouble with the hot water and wifi and she did her best to rectify the problems. Rodea is a very spacious villa it has sun for the whole day and I did enjoy watching the ferry going over to fuerteventura and the occasional cruise ship sailing past !. Their is an alarm and two safes provided. The pool was MASSIVE ! It's just a shame it was so cold, even my son would not go in it, I'm sure it would be nice in the warmer months. The master bedroom was great with double patio doors and the other two bedrooms were fine, just bring insect repellant as we came home with several bites !. We did enjoy our week here it really is a lovely villa its just the little things like no welcome pack, only one bin liner provided that we feel let it down.
