John and Lucy's apartment is located in a small and peaceful 'urbanizacion', approximately 5 minutes' walk from the seafront and 15 from the centre of the resort. It's a similar distance in the other direction to the very attractive Marina Rubicon, with its up-market cafes, restaurants and shops.
The urbanizacion itself is very well maintained, with attractive Canarian style public gardens and a mix of local residents and second home owners. There is a well stocked Hyper Dino supermarket just down the road, and ample free parking in the adjacent car park.
The apartment is cosy and well maintained, with a secluded front terrace, comfortable living room, well-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms (each with a small separate dressing area) and a good stock of DVDs for evenings in.
Currently the apartment does not have wi-fi, which for guests who need regular internet access during their stay may prove inconvenient, especially given the lack of a reliable 3G/4G signal in the immediate vicinity.
The owners might also wish to consider leaving a few basic supplies for guests, for example spare bin liners, washing powder/capsules and tea/coffee. Whilst these are all readily available in the local supermarket, they are difficult to buy in the small quantities needed for a one week stay.
Finally, perhaps a guest file with information on local doctors, emergency dentists, recommended restaurants, sightseeing etc. might be considered. This was our third visit to Playa Blanca, but for first time visitors some local information and general guidance for visitors would be helpful.
The location is great and near to the golden sands marina and shops supermarket and bars serving a great choice of food. Clean and tidy with a home from home feel we would recommend this and thank john for his information passed on to us this was very useful and made our week at Casa Delores perfect.
