“A relaxing time at Lazy Days”

Arrived to a nice hamper of goodies to start of holiday off. Villa is in a residential area with access to a rocky beach. Great views of the sea from either patio so you can watch the fishing boats.
The villa has everything you would need from an ice maker, wifi, games area for the kids and gym with cross trainer and weights.
The living area is upstairs with two bedrooms and a further two bedrooms downstairs, air conditioning units fitted in the bedrooms.
The kitchen is well equipped and there are a number of eating areas both inside and outside of the villa.
The pool is heated but not shallow enough for young children to touch the bottom. The sun bathing area and pool is at the front if the villa giving you great views but is also fully open and not enclosed. Meaning you have to keep a close eye on young children who could wonder off and also there is no privacy from anyone who is walking past. And many people do walk up the drive from the beach area to see if there is a cut through. The villa would benefit from higher walls or planting at the front to provide a degree of privacy.
A small shopping area is about a 20 minute walk away, 2 small shops and a few restaurants. Taxis are €5 to Playa Blanca (5 mins) which is a really nice town on the coast with a small sandy beach, shops and many restaurants.
Flamingo beach is only 5 mins away and is a man made beach area for kids which is shallow and safe. Surrounded by nice restaurants and a shopping area. Car Parking is plentiful or you can walk to Playa Blanca from here.
In summary a great relaxing holiday in a well equipped villa. The owner lives across the road and can't do enough to help make your stay a pleasurable as possible.
Highly recommended......

“Ideal place for a relaxing holiday”
Reviewed 26 July 2013 for a stay in June 2013

We stayed here for one week in June 2013 and enjoyed relaxing in this large villa and the pool area. It was booked through Owners direct, once you find the accommodation you wish to rent all booking is done direct with the owner by email. We emailed Mal and all enquiries were answered quickly, he owns another three villas and lives nearby so was on hand to meet us and sort out any little issues.
On arrival at the airport we texted Mal who then met us at the villa and showed us around, how to use the alarm etc There was a welcome basket on the table containing wines, cheese and ham, also a bottle of fizz on ice ready to drink which was a nice touch.
The pictures to advertise the villa are accurate although the paintwork is now looking tired in the downstairs area outside where the table tennis table is situated. It is very large inside with plenty of space to relax. There is a sky package but due to problems with reception outside their control there are no sport channels, bbc or itv. There is a DVD player if you wish to bring your own films, we were quite happy sitting on the outside terrace sharing a drink and reading.
The pool is heated and overlooks the sea, the downside being it is exposed to the road with no fencing for privacy, not too much of a problem as the road is quiet. The plot at the front of the villa has never been built on which means you have a clear view out to sea, most of our meals were eaten on the upstairs terrace enjoying the view. There is a BBQ and the kitchen is amazing with a big American fridge freezer complete with water filter and ice maker.
One thing to mention is this villa is semi detached and there is little or no sound insulation. If there is someone staying in the villa next door you hear everything! They also have a villa next door called Lazy times which is detached and we would consider this next time, it has lots more outdoor beds, but is more expensive.
Overall, we had a great week and would certainly stay in Playa Blanca again.Lots to do and with a car the island is very easy to explore.

Thank you for your review and comments, living on site works well for us as you stated we are there to help and deal with any problems, the small area of paint work has been repainted, this was on my maintenance schedule, we are hoping to improve the sky TV channels soon with an up dated system, we have DVD’s if guest request these.
The villa is a semi-detached and is constructed of the same materials as the majority of villas on the island, you must have been unlucky with noisy guest next door, we have had no complaints before, and we also have a detached villa, Villa Times

We are please you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon

“Wonderful relaxing stay - lovely villa and lovely owner”
Reviewed 27 March 2012 for a stay in March 2012

Booked the villa on owners direct. Mal was very responsive in email and answered all our questions quickly and politely. We were given lots of good information before our arrival which was useful as this was our first trip to Lanzarote. Especially helpful were the details of how to find the villa which is tucked away quite discretely - not sure we would have been so successful finding it first time (as we did) without Mal's link to google maps.

Our flight landed around 7.45pm and we called Lidija once we collected the hire car from the airport which was very easy (we booked our car from Autoreisen before we left as they had the most competitive rates at the time of booking and their service was excellent). Lidija welcomed us when we arrived at the villa, along with her brother-in-law who offered to take us to pick up supplies or drop us at a restaurant. We were tired and wanted to go to bed and as we had a car said we would pick up provisions in the morning. Lidija showed us where everything was, how to arm the alarm etc and left us a lovely welcome pack (won't reveal what as she said she likes this to be a surprise :-)).

The villa was spotlessly clean and catered for all of our needs. There were plenty of ping pong balls and darts (I had brought my own in case these were missing but I needn't have bothered). The pool was heated and we used it every day. The gym equipment was well used too. The wireless internet access was useful.

Most of all it was a lovely tranquil place which enabled us to unwind and relax.

Some great restaurants about a 10-15 minute walk or a 5 min drive away (we ate in the Greek, Italian and Argentinian - all good quality).

Shopping - we went to the Dino Hypermarket in Playa Blanca but I wished we had noticed the Spar beforehand as I think we would have shopped there as it appeared to have more choice. Also wish I had checked all of the cupboards before I went shopping because when I was putting our provisions away, I realised I had doubled up an a bunch of stuff which I presume had been left by the previous occupants (coffee machine filters, salt, oil, vinegar, seasoning etc).

Lidija popped in once or twice during the week to see how we were getting on.

If there is any room for improvement, and this would be extremely picky, it's to get something planted in the land in front of the villa which doesn't belong to Mal and Lidija (it looks like an unused building plot) and Lidija told me that this is on somebody's task list but I didn't catch whose. Also arguably some sort of hedge/plant screening to provide some privacy while sitting around the pool, although this arguably could interrupt the fabulous views of the sea and neighbouring Fuerteventura (which seemed to look different every day).

On our leaving day, Lidija came to pick up the keys and showed us around their newly acquired villa which was a few villas down where they have laid out the villa slightly differently to accommodate an enormous en suite master bedroom downstairs and a fabulous gym area (we may opt for the new villa next time, because there will be a next time).

We loved our holiday and we highly recommend the villa and the great service we got from the owners.

“Brilliant”

I traveled with my partner and my 3 children who are in their 20's plus two of their girlfriends. I was sceptical because we had booked the villa via Owners Direct and not read a single review prior to going. A far as we knew the place may not have even existed. For this reason I am writing a review.

There are plenty of positive reviews in the visitors book at the villa but they aren't much use before you actually arrive.

We arrived around 9pm and were met at the villa by Mal the villas owner. He showed us how to work the alarm etc and then was kind enough to run a couple of us down to the local shop to get supplies.

Mal and his wife Lydia had left a welcome pack of cold fizz plus cheeses, parma ham etc.
the place itself is great. Clean , modern and with all the facilities listed on their website.

Everyone was entertained at the villa with the table tennis, darts, gym, Wii and Satelite TV. The pool was heated and the sea views were to die for. This made for a situation where we were happy to hang around the villa relaxing longer than we normally probably would have.

Playa Blanca is a 40 minute walk away down the promenade or 5 mins in a cab. There are some great restaurants near by within a 10 minute walk.

I would highly recommend this villa to anyone ( as long as they don't choose the same week i want to return)

Thanks to Mal and Lydia
